Can't Live Without My Eye Package – Dana has helped me tame my unruly brows for the last 4 1/2 years and she always does a fantastic job. I'm always getting compliments on them and I love the way they frame my face and make my eyes pop now with their darker tint. As a result I can get away with less daily makeup!
Besides her arch-styling talent, Dana also provides facials, reiki, and my monthly "laugh therapy". I'm totally hooked!
Natalie is awesome! – Source spa in Ballard rocks, I love the relaxing vibe and all the quiet corners where you can hang out between treatments. Natalie is so great, from pedicures to facials and waxing, I leave feeling like a million bucks. She is my only go-to-girl for my skincare needs.
ASK FOR DANA WILSON AT SOURCE! – I've been seeing Dana for brow waxes and facials for over six years now. She does the best brow shaping and is neat, thorough and professional! She made sure my eye brows were perfect for my wedding.
Source is by far the nicest salon+spa she's worked in. It's spacious, modern and just what Ballard needs. Dana recently gave me The Face Treatment with Foot Reflexology--- I've never left feeling more refreshed and relaxed. The time spent on my feet really made such a difference! I think I will add this treatment every time I go to Source. I also have to say this salon is quite reasonably priced.
JAMIE GAVE ME THE BEST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD – If you want a perfect haircut ask for Jamie. She has been cutting my hair for the past 6 years. I have followed her when she has changed locations and love her new one. I have never had so many strangers ask me who cuts my hair as I have since Jamie has been cutting it. I was in Mexico recently and a women asked me where I got my haircut. I told her in the states and she asked me if I would go to lunch with her so she could take me to her stylist so the cut could be copied. I live on the eastside and have no trouble going to Ballard to see her. You won't be disappointed. She listens and the grow out is great which is a pleasure so my hair always looks great
An Experience to "Dye" for... – I recently checked out the new salon because Jamie is there. She has worked on my hair over the last 4 years and is very experienced. The salon is clean, beautiful , technically advanced, and has a zen-like charm. The product lines they have chosen are eco-minded, technologically advanced, and high quality. My hair is routinely exposed to chlorine and other things that are damaging. The MAXI-wash Jamie used to detoxify my hair made it feel lighter and I noticed the difference even two weeks later. The color Jamie helped me pick is beautiful, natural, and warm(not orange warm). Jamie also helped me find a product from the Davines line that is designed to block chlorine. Jamie was careful to keep my hair length while cleaning up my ends and giving it more style. If you are looking for a clean, beautiful, friendly, professional, "non-snooty" salon that carries quality products and has experienced people, make an appointment.
Jamie is the best hairstylist EVER! – Jamie has been doing my hair for years and years! The one time I didn't go see Jamie to get my color done it was a nightmare. I will never go to anyone else ever again. She listens to what I want and she does it the best. She always has new ideas to contribute as well if I'm hesitant on what I want. When I get my hair colored and cut I walk out of her salon feeling like a million bucks! I trust her and she does a GREAT job! Don't ever stop being a hairstylist Jamie! The salon has a great atmosphere as well. I will go back anytime to get a facial or a pedicure. The staff is so friendly! I can't wait for the next time to get pampered! If you love the Ballard neighborhood you will love Jamie and the salon!
Jamie is a Godsend – I was lucky enough to meet Jamie 6 years ago when I triple processed my hair at home and then needed someone to ?fix? it. She gave me an incredible cut and color that not only made me look and feel beautiful, but she somehow made my hair feel healthy after I had just about ruined it. I?ve followed her from salon to salon and I was so incredibly happy when she came to Source. It?s such a beautiful salon and the people there are awesome. None of the attitude you find at other salons and so many options to pamper yourself! I would highly recommend Jamie, she?s a great stylist and amazing colorist. Finding someone you trust with your hair is hard, but with Jamie I always know that I?ll love how I look when she?s done.
I felt 10 years younger - Thanks Michelle – I bought/bid/won a day of beauty at a 3 Day Breast Cancer silent auction at the end of summer. I had never treated myself to a day of beauty at a spa before.....AMAZING! First, Michelle gave me the most amazing facial I'd ever had. I'm sure I looked 10 years younger, well, my face felt 10 years younger; Then, off to a massage which focused on the tension in my neck (Yay!); followed by a mani and pedi; Next was a fabulous haircut with Jamie. Just when I thought I was done, I was wisked away to have my makeup done. I had an absolutely amazing day!!!!! Did I mention the cucumber water? Love it!
Thank you, Michelle, and Source!!!!
Source Salon and Spa is a new gem! – I was lucky enough to find this new treasure my last time in town. Used to go to Habitude, but looks like all the good folks are here now! Had the most wonderful pedicure from Natalie. Pedies are one of my most favorite things and Natalie does the best job. Nothing like being pampered to the max. Also had her do my eyebrows--at my age they are fading--and I love it !!! Then decided to go for the whole thing and had a facial. My very first one and it was amazing. Nice folks, professional friendly service and Natalie had me laughing and thoroughly enjoying my whole experience. I can't wait to do it again. Thank you!!!
Great choice for thermal straightening – I have been getting my hair straightened (i.e. Japanese thermal system like Magic Straight) for the last 5 or so years. Usually I go to a salon in the International District for straightening. My regular stylist, Kenneth, moved to the Source from a salon in Greenlake and mentioned that there are several people at the Source who perform thermal straightening. Side note - Kenneth does a great job, even on my sometimes difficult long, straight hair.
Tara did my thermal straightening and I was quite impressed. First, she is trained in a number of systems (Rusk, etc.) so she chose the one that was best for my hair type. Second, she didn't take any other appointments during my process, so I was only there for about 3.5 hours instead of the 5 or so that I am used to at other salons. Also, I got a nice scalp massage during the final rinse. I thought the price was quite reasonable, at $350 for a "retouch" after about 10 months of growth. This was a little higher than the retouch price of $300 listed on their website, but I thought it was reasonable. Next time, I'll probably try to narrow down the price more specifically beforehand. At any rate, I'll be back and will be recommending Tara to my friends that get their hair straightened.
