Lots of choices and easy on the wallet too! – My husband and I nearly stumbled upon the marketplace, after visiting the New England Aquarium nearby - yes we were tourists visiting the city. There are so many dining options, all at pretty reasonable prices. We got food from the Boston and Maine Co. - I had a chicken wrap with clam chowder - the wrap was a little heavy on the lettuce, but not bad; the chowder was the highlight - very tasty, with the right amount of salt and seasoning - DELICIOUS! This chowder beats the socks off the chowder at Legal Sea Foods (which I also tried while in Boston). My husband had the chili and buffalo chicken wrap and he said both were tasty. We walked a bit to North End and got dessert from a little italian bakery (not sure of the name) and then brought it back to the marketplace and had it with nice hot Starbucks. Great place; its a must see!
Shopping, food and entertainment in one jam-packed location. – Overview
The three long market buildings, which combine to make what is usually referred to as Quincy Market, are a top destination for Bostonians and tourists alike. You'll find some major national chains like Ann Taylor, Abercrombie & Fitch, Crabtree & Evelyn, Crate & Barrel and Victoria's Secret, as well as local gems like Celtic Weavers and Geoclassic.
The actual Quincy Market building (the central market hall across from Faneuil Hall) is devoted primarily to food, with a range of cuisines to satisfy everyone's tastes. The North and South Market buildings house an array of clothing stores, gift shops and just about every other kind of retailer. A broad band of entertainers roams between the buildings, and still more merchants sell their wares from more than 55 pushcarts.
Not the real deal! – A cartoon version of Boston's past, tidied up, prettified, and made palatable for tourists so that they needn't take the time to explore the real city. Locals avoid this place like the plague.
More than a shopping experience – Fanueil Hall is more than a shopping experience, it's a visit to the town square. Food, nightclubs, people watching, buskers - it's so much more than mere shopping, it's a whole day/nite experience. No admission charge! I drive from Harford to spend the day there.
Great hangout – Nice place to shop, stroll, grab a drink, or just people watch.
Very Nice! – Great place to take a walk, watch the people, shop and eat. In the summer the free entertainment is cool.
Something For Everyone – A must-see place in the city. Great place to relax, grab a bit to eat, shop, people watch...what have you
Anything, Everything you want – Great place to bring a group of friends that have a wide range of food tastes. Or, if you are like me and you like to sample a little bit of everything. Everything is delicous
People. Food, Shopping, CHOCOLATE – Every few months or so, I just need a place to go and take in the sights that Boston has to offer. Faneuil Hall is one of my favorite places. The people watching is great and the restaurants are all spectacular. And who can forget the Godiva Chocolate store!
the best – you can never get tired of Faneuil Hall-always something new- and it's great rain or shine
