Awesome Boneless Wings – On a recent trip to Boston with my friends, we hit this place on a whirlwind eating/drinking binge. We didn't stay too long, but long enough to chow down on some wings and beer. The wings were fantastic, served quickly and the service was friendly. I'm told this place is a bit of an institution in Boston, although I have to say it wasn't that busy when we were there. A good place to try out if you're on a tour and have some time, but not a desintation in and of itself.

Don't wear sandals – Ok... I like the Black Rose - good music, pretty good food, reasonably good Guinness. However, they don't have a cabaret license, which means that no matter how good the music is, you can only sit and tap your foot underneath the table. AND, they don't let in men wearing sandals. In fact, they'll let women in wearing anything on their feet, but men, wearing the exact same sandals have to look elsewhere. So, if you want good food, and to sit with friends with music in the background and talk over a pretty good pint, the Black Rose is the place for you.

Exceptionally Good Bar! – I stumbled upon the Black Rose about 5 years ago while in Boston for my first time. After walking around the Quincy Market for several hours, I decided to stop in for a cocktail.....I was pleasantly surprised with the service and food. The Black Rose is always my first stop whenever I visit Boston.
