Average Indian but fast delivery. I had heard great things about this place from friends- raving about the close to authentic Indian cuisine (a hard find in LA). I ordered delivery one night and while I was pleased with their promptness and the portions, I was not overwhelmed by the food. I ordered the chicken tikka masala (as a good barometer of the restaurant) and while it was tasty -I had asked for extra spicy which apparently just meant more salt. The chicken used was tandoori (a plus) but not the greatest cuts of meat and a little fatty(a definite minus). The simosas and nan were good however. Would I eat there again? Yes, if I was aving Indian and I wanted to pick up something on the way home but this place is Indian fast food at best. (I suppose that is why it has express in the name).

not very good. i really should have known from the name of the place. any restaurant that has 'express' in it that doesn't have 'panda' in front of it is suspicious. in this case, the food was so awful, i literally ate a few bites and left the rest. i have never done that. it's supposed to be indian food, but it honestly tastes like it's the worst kind of chinese food, which is weird considering the owners are obviously indian. the lamb vindalu tastes exactly like it looks, like sweet and sour sauce. the service is really bad too; very rude people. perhaps it's because their restaurant stinks so much.

bottom line: stay away from this one. there are much better indian restaurants in the westwood area.
