Not as good now that Anju no longer around – When Anju worked there the service was amazing. She was great with defining my arch and shaping my brow. Business has taken off so now she has another woman, Dimple, there threading and Anju is no longer physically at the salon. When I last went to get my eyebrows done by her they came out uneven and I even have two slightly scarce patches. I also ended up with redness and local welting in the middle of my brow which has never happened before (and I have had my eyebrows threaded for years). I had to go to King of Prussia Mall to even my brows out. Unless Anju comes back I doubt I will bother with this salon again.
Best Thread place in Philly – Love both the ladies who thread. When i started going there, it was run only by the owner, Anju who corrected my horrifying eyebrow shape. Then when i went this summer, I met Dimple (the other lady). At first i was hesistant, but i told her i had highly sensitive skin, she understood exactly what i wanted and did a fabbbulous job. Im so hooked onto them. Because the place is small and tends to get crowded in the evenings, i take an appointment b4 hand or else go sometime in the afternoon. Ive tried other places here, but nobody other than Anjuthreads has given me the best customer service and great results in Philly. Try it, Im sure you will be hooked on too! :)
inconvenient – i've only been to this place twice eventhough i enjoyed my experience simply because this place is Never open. its always closed early or no app available. wts it matter how good it is if u can never get u wt u need...
loved it.. – I got full face threading done at Anju threads and loved it. It's a small place..so might get a little crowded. The threading was done well and proper care was taken. I would definitely go back again.
Inexpensive AND classy! – I recently got upper lip and eyebrows done here, it was a great experience considering threading isn't exactly my favorite thing to do! Anju was nice, the place was clean and comfortable, very classy. Truthfully, it was small, but I'll admit there are pluses if you go during the daytime on a weekday, because no one else is there, (as oppose to having threading done in a big salon) No one is watching you flinch as your eyes water and nose run. It was pretty inexpensive, $8 for upper lip... i think $13 for eyebrows. Most places offering those prices are those skeavy salon joints in nyc and nj. I'm hooked on threading, and I'll defnately be going back to anjuthreads!
Good experience, reasonable costs – This was my first threading experience and I am hooked. The prices are comparable to waxing and Anju was so nice and thorough. The salon is bright and clean and quite small. The only drawback I see is no privacy while in the chair. If there are other customers waiting, they are right there next to you while you are being threaded (due to the size of the space). However, don't see that as too much of a negative since everything else was so positive and we are all there for the same thing.
Love it! – I used to pluck with tweezers but now I'm hooked on threading. I have been threading my eyebrows for over a year now and I'm glad I found this place. I have never felt so calm & relaxed during a threading session before. The calm atmosphere makes the session go faster and easier. My eyebrows always look great and I will continue going back.
New to threading and I am hooked – Anjuthreads is the perfect place for someone who is trying threading for the first time. The salon is small and not at all intimidating; Anju is very personable and explains what she is doing step by step. The threading itself is so much better than waxing...I have sensitive skin and every time I got waxed I left the salon with bright red eyebrows and upper lip. I always felt tlike I was wearing a sign on my face that said "I have a mustache!" Then inevitably 2 days later I would break out - no matter what I tried to prevent it. The threading just left my skin clean and smooth - no redness, no breakout. She is even able to get the little baby hairs that you can't get with wax. Plus, the prices are very reasonable. All in all it was a great experience - I will continue to go to Anjuthreads for a long time.
A painless experience, Greast customer service. – My first threading experience at "Anju " was a pleasant & painless experience. Anju is very friendly as well as professional. The salon was inviting, relaxing and clean.
Best place for threading in philly! – Anjuthreads is my go-to place for shaping my eyebrows. I have tried different types of hair removal, including tweezing, waxing, laser, and threading. Threading gives you the cleanest shape in the shortest amount of time. My stylist in NYC would spend 1 and a 1/2 hours to give me supermodel brows with tweezers and it hurt like nothing else. Anju is fast, professional, very gentle, and the results are wonderful. I have gotten threading at other places, and they are not as nice and it was much more painful. I hope Anjuthreads is here to stay!
