How is it this person would use never mind publish/promote Angela Pifer as an expert reference for nutrition. My reasoning is simple and based on two facts that support my comments.
First, If you think Ms. Pifer has an appearance that is an example of good nutrition and exercise that she has credibility earned through hard work at the gym and disciplined nutrition, well that is just not true. Angela Pifer has had significant amounts of cosmetic surgery. I know for a fact that she has had several rounds of liposuction, breast augmentation and even veneer's replacing her teeth. Knowing that she (or men she has dated have paid for the long list of cosmetic surgeries it is clear she hasn't earned her physical appearance through good nutrition and has no credibility or authority to be coaching others.
Second, character, just check with Bellevue and King County Police to see the vast criminal history of Ms. Pifer. She is an infamous thief, so much that she is banned from the majority of fine retail stores including, but not limited to Nordstrom, Macy's, Anne Taylor, and many more. You see, she is a compulsive shop lifter and steels brand name clothing and products which she sells through EBay for a huge profit. For example, she would steal a brand name leather coat from Nordstrom valued at $1000+ and sell through a 3rd party on EBay for 1/3-1/2 the retail price. This is only one of the ways she would pay for all her cosmetic surgery when she didn't have random men she would exchange companionship for her next treatment.
Don't believe me, just check public records with Bellevue/Seattle/King County. My understanding is that she also has arrests for the "personal services" business she was involved and also made money making blue movies. I have not verified that, but it is was I have heard from others who dated her.
Anyway, I felt compelled to share these facts with the public so all know the truth and are not duped by the media industry's incompetence to properly vet people they are putting on their programs as an expert.
THIS IS A GREAT PROGRAM! Lost 11 pounds. Better sleep, lost sugar cravings. I loved this web site! I loved getting all the great recipes. I really loved hearing Angela’s opinion on how to have good, well balance nutrition on a whole foods plant based diet. I think that is what I really need to know. Its ok to just start eating plants and cut out meat, but how do you make sure you are not cheating yourself of needed nutrients that will start some imbalance or new kind of illness for you?! Thank you Angela for sharing your wisdom and knowledge!
I lost about 8 pounds in the end (including the week or 2 after the program), which was a nice side benefit. But more to the point I felt much more aware of my digestive process and more in tune with my body’s needs. Although my digestive symptoms were not entirely alleviated by the vegan diet, they did improve significantly and I am continuing to make plant based foods the basis of my diet after the program. Using the tools I learned during the challenge I am continuing to play with my diet to determine my food sensitivities and find the right balance. I highly recommend this program!
Well after 32 days on this program and a loss of 18 pounds I feel better than when I was 30. No more coffee, sweets, desserts. I no longer crave sugar or salt, use my sauna everyday and look forward to my 5:45am workouts. This program provided more than I expected BUT I now need a tailor to adjust my Hong Kong hand made suits. But thankfully my Tux fits like it never has before and I’ll be wearing it out for my 30th wedding anniversary. I will follow the program for years to come. As a doctor, I was skeptical - it exceeded my expectations and was fun.
As a lover of nutrition and cleanses, DO NOT TRY THIS PROGRAM! I have done many cleanses and am always looking to try something new, and I have never been as disappointed as I was with the 28-Day Vegan Challenge, as a cleanse and as a business in general. The program itself was very light and unsubstantial, considering you are paying over $200. But the worst part was that the owner of the company did not send me the products I paid for! (This is a detailed review of our email communication, but I would have wanted to know this before I wasted my money!) I decided to buy supplements from her to complement the cleanse. 10/2 – the owner told me a 3-month supply of probiotics was $54. I said this sounds great, please place my order! I also gave her my credit card details and let her know that my shipping address is different than my billing address, as I just moved and didn’t update my bank details yet. She replied and the order was placed. 10/17 – I emailed Angela to let her know I only received 1-month of pills through the mail, asking if there was a problem. Her response: “I cut and pasted the protocol from my records and didn’t adjust the reference […] my apologies for the confusion.” I couldn’t believe her defense was that she copied and pasted and didn’t adjust the amount! As a businesswoman, I thought it was laughable. 10/18 – After I voiced that this is wrong and I am entitled to what we agreed to, she said she would send me one more month of pills. Even though this is still not what I agreed to originally, I thanked her and said this would be great. She said she would ship it to me for the first week in November. 11/10 –After not receiving anything, I emailed Angela letting her know. Angela blamed a late shipment to her and said she would mail them out a few days later. 11/26 – I emailed her again letting her know I had still not received a delivery. Angela emailed me back with shipment confirmation and I noticed she had sent it to my old address that I told her I was no longer living at. I told her she shipped to the wrong address and I no longer live there. 11/30 – after no response from Angela, I emailed her again to let he know I never received the shipment, expressed disappointment, and requested a refund. 11/30 – Angela emailed me saying she would not give me a refund and would not take responsibility for mailing the package to the wrong address…and said whether it was the right address or not she mailed out a second bottle so her part was done!
So judge for yourself whether this is the type of person you want to do business with! Unless you want to be scammed and not receive what you pay for, I would suggest looking into another cleanse.
Go See Angela! – I’ve worked with a few nutritionists in the past and I can honestly say that this was one of the best experiences I have had. I truly appreciate how detailed Angela is and that she addressed my specific concerns and needs. Her program is definitely not a canned product. In one month she addressed three specific health conditions and was able to help me lose 12 pounds. My blood sugars came into check within a week and a half and I have more energy than I ever remember having in the past. I am taking a short break over the holidays and then will pick up my time with Angela again in January. Like her other reviews, I can’t stop talking about my experience!
i had a great experience – i moved here from arizona and found myself up 15 pounds. i decided to take up tennis and wanted to compete. angela put together a program that had me leaner and stronger in no time. i can do this program on my own. that was really important to me. my results were pretty immediate. as far as i am concerned, she's a genious.
Outstanding Experience – I was referred to Angela by my doc a few months back. I didn't want to go on medication, but I knew that I've had a tough time in the past sticking to a diet. I have been more than pleasantly surprised by how easy Angela has made this on me. I get to eat real food and have still kept a few of my vices - all while losing weight and seeing my numbers come back into line. I didn't know eating healthier could be this easy and this effective. I always tried to do things too fast - too drastically. I've told everyone about my experience with Angela. Like her other referrals, my only wish is that I found her sooner. She is on top of things, extremely responsive, really listened to me and created a plan that I can follow forever.
Angela Made A Huge Difference in My Life! – I attended a workshop over the weekend which included several opportunities to pair up with a partner you didn't know to talk about various subjects related to food. I talked to so many people who struggle with the 'eat when you're hungry' and 'eat what your body wants' concepts -- and I used to too – but not since my work with Angela Pifer.
Restriction and deprivation are no longer a way of life for me. I still work on these every day and don't expect perfection, but am aware of the behavior. What I realize more than anything is that the way I live/eat now is a gift, so thank you to Angela! Not just a gift of health, but a gift of feeling free and not feeling guilty. Now I'm working to incorporate more conscious eating principles into my life, as well as being more aware and tapping into the issues beyond the food. As we all know, there is no magic bullet and new habits and patterns take time, so I'm working each day on new things that help me reach my goals. I just want to tell everyone what working with Angela meant to me – she made a difference in my life and I appreciate it very much.
Not worth the cost – If Angela likes you and you do exactly as she recommends, it seems that things will go well for you based on the other reviews. However, if you do not mesh well personality-wise and have any sort of difficulties with the foods she suggests, then this may not be a good experience for you.
Like another poster, I paid $595 for a month and received exactly one office visit, two phone calls, one in-depth nutritional analysis, and 16 emails. I do not feel that I received good value for my money, especially as there was at least one week where I sent in my food diaries every other day without a word of response until I asked for it at the end of the week. After the first week or so of review, the comments I received were largely "this was a poor choice" and "you should try (completely different food) instead" without much consideration for the substitution type (think suggesting a substitution of baby carrots for ice cream - healthier to be sure, but not reasonable as few people eat carrots as dessert or for emotional reasons). Not very encouraging or helpful - even if she was frustrated with me and my taste limitations, cutting her comments down to cut/paste "that was a poor choice" is not useful at all. Additionally I went on a trip near the end of my time, and Angela stated she would contact me after my return date to finish out the paid month - it's been two weeks since I returned and no contact.
I would have been better off buying a body monitor of some sort, as that would at least have continued to give me usable data beyond the initial analysis.
