Joes pizza is excellent place for New York style pizza. We usually like to get their combo that comes with 2 slices and drink for merely 7 dollar
Great pizza, quick bite! I love this place! Their crispy crust pizza slices are just perfect. You can ask them to add toppings onto your pizza.
Worst pizza joint in LA!!! – My order was delivered late and incomplete by a sketchy man who could only grunt words.
The restaurant wouldn't refund my card for the missing drinks!
The best pizza!!!! – I lived in New York for 5 years and Joe's pizza was my favorite... I missed Joe's when i came out here for modeling....One fine day i woke up and saw Joe's on sunset blvd. Try the Grandma Pizza, it is amazing!! Thank You joe's for my once a month indulgence....
decent – Decent Place to Eat. Definitely not real NY pizza cause i know what real ny pizza is.
Citysearch Editorial Review – Like its original Greenwich Village location (and its first LA spot near the ocean in Santa Monica), Joe's Pizza is the kind of no-nonsense, frills-free pizza joint that East Coasters rave about. The signature thin crust is light and crisp, even without that famous New York water, while an array of toppings for full pies and ready-made slices include plain cheese, pepperoni, and a caprese with silver-dollar-sized slices of fresh mozzarella. Rounding out the offerings are garlic knots, salads and calzones. Just make sure you're paying attention to the signs and look for the red umbrellas--this small slice of the Sunset Strip is tucked back in a strip mall.
Best Pizza in LA!!!!!!! Bar none!!!!! – You're mad RSpitz. Have you forgotten your roots?!
This is quintessential New York Pizza!!! I grew up in NY. I'd walk to Joe's a few days a week. NY doesn't have just one kind of slice. There's a Ray's slice. Doughier. Cheesier. Not as good. Sounds like you're used to that. Joe's in NY went from being a little neighborhood pizza place no one knew about, to a little neighborhood pizza place regarded by many as the best in NY. This LA branch (run by the 3rd gen. of the family) is the best in LA.
Overrated!! Expensive! This is NOT NY Style Pizza! – I am not sure who writes all these reviews but my experience has been very different than other people below. Maybe because this place is NOT Cristoni anymore and all the comments below refer to Cristoni.
Pizza is very average, with very little cheese and topings but is certainly expensive. I lived on Gates and Bedford Ave in Brooklyn New York and know NY Pizza! This is not even close to NY style pizza. Too thin crust, too little cheese and not enough toppings.
There are certainly better pizza joints in West Hollywood!
Get real guys! Will Not Try again!
Solid pizza joint – This is not a super fancy pizza joint but a solid pizza place at that, not too many varieties but everything is good and the service is quite friendly. Can sometimes see Chris there who is always very cordial to customers, true gentleman, and gives a great relaxed welcoming vibe to the place. Not sure if they deliver but if you live in the area it's definitely the best pizza around and deserves to do well.
A HIDDEN GEM FOR TRUE PIZZA LOVERS – I grew up in brooklyn eating at places like L&B SPUMONI GARDENS. Never did i think after all my years in LA i would ever taste a pizza worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence.. CRISTONI is simply the best pizza around!! The crust is perfectly crisp.. The cheese and the sauce are so delicious!! They must import the water. Anyway, i'm so happy it was recomended to me.. By far my new favorite place!!
