Great service!!! I really appreciated Oasis for their friendliness and very helpful service
They will try to ROB YOU BLIND!! Stay away. They are a bunch of idiots especially Robert in customer service. He's rude. Actually the whole staff in rude besides the sales people because they are trying to ROB you and take all your money!!!! Stay away and you will thank me later! I'm sure ALL the good reviews are the staff writing them because I've talked to a few people to who told me to stay away and I didn't listen.
Stay far far away!! This company is the WORST moving company I have ever dealt with!!!! I wished I listened to the reviews!!
Bottom line: from the reviews, I saw that this company is hit or miss...it was a miss for me and I would not recommend Oasis. They seem to do fine when there are no glitches but fall on their face when conflict or mistakes occur...it's a gamble whether their service will be on time or whether you will receive decent customer service.
- had movers available to schedule same-day move
- initial customer service with Cyril (Oasis employee) was fine
- poor communication of actual time of arrival for movers (no call from dispatch and email didn't specify time window)
- ended up having to offload truck myself when movers didn't show at pre-arranged time
- aggressive, unhelpful communication when conflict arose
- absolute refusal to admit fault or entertain the idea that the customer might be right
- rude, unhelpful customer service leading up to delivery (sales person hung up on me instead of trying to resolve conflict)
- failed to offer military discount (I found out later it was an option)
Unnecessarily rude customer service:
I scheduled Oasis to have 2 movers help me offload a truck at 5pm--I had a limited time that evening to offload the truck and needed to start at 5pm. Cyril said that they would have 2 movers to my home by 5pm and that their dispatch would contact me when they were en route to my home. By 5:05pm, no call came in and no movers had arrived. I called Oasis and reached a salesman. The salesman said the window was actually 5-6pm and I had to prod him to find out whether their arrival would be closer to 5pm or 6pm. Come to find out, the movers wouldn't arrive until 6pm and were still at another job. While trying to explain that this hadn't been the original arrangement, the sales person informed me he had no authority or responsibility to get involved in my situation. I interrupted him to say that at the moment, he was absolutely responsible for helping me since he was representing the company and fielding customer calls...to which he hung up on me!
The story which was already explained to by Robert in customer service to a dispatch manager. He is stating that I will be getting back 90% of my money that I have already paid to Oasis Moving. Considering that I booked to schedule for a specific day, it should have already been assigned, scheduled, and ready for pick up. That did not happen that way. The move was for a Tuesday afternoon. Dotty had called on Monday and begged to see if they can come on Wednesday to have them come pick it up. I agreed re-scheduling mine and other peoples schedule. All day Wednesday I waiting for the moving company or even someone to call me about a moving company picking up my stuff. Nobody showed up. Nobody called. I called twice already to see when they will come pick up my stuff and Dotty had informed me that she will call dispatch and someone will call me back. Once again, nobody called. This was getting ridiculous. I called and cancelled my order. Dotty says that she will help me find a moving company to pick up my stuff. That is NOT MY responsibiliy, that is Oasis' responsibility! I said to cancel my order again and she said that she has cancelled my order and said that I should receive the payment back to me within 1-3 business days depending on my bank. Well it is already been a week and still have no received ANY refund.
I called Robert and he explained to me what the Dispatch Manager said and I was NOT allowed to talk to them. And to my shock I am being charged $150 for a "rescheduling fee." I NEVER RESCHEDULED! This is beyond ridiculous!
NOWHERE in that invoice is there stating that I am being charged $150 for deposit. I was never stated there was a booking deposit when I originally booked it nor does it say that anywhere in my estimate invoice email. If you look back at it, it states that I will be charged "a $150 rescheduling fee for moves being scheduled without a minimum of 7 business days advance notice." I never rescheduled so I should NOT be charged for ANYTHING!
This is not at fault to ME, this is at fault to Oasis. The company itself should have been more prepared for a cross country move.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!! THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE!!!!!!!
Price was decent. Cyril was wonderful when he came to our house and he gave us a fair quote.
PLEASE, for your own sanity, DO NOT use this company! It is NOT worth it!!
Great Company. When Moving back into my new house I would like the same crew.
Avoid at all cost! Pricey items missing and they flat out refuse to reimburse. Not happy at all.
