Great place if you enjoy supporting a local crook – I’ve heard rumors of the owner kicking out his chief baker and founding partner, and stealing all his concepts and ideas…On top of that apparently, he got this poor guy arrested and called him an Arab, while he is in fact Jewish. There’s been talk about antisemitism around Mr. Hopkins, and this doesn’t surprise me at all…Does anyone know anything about that?

Possibly Atlanta's Best Bagel! – For many of us native Atlantans, the closing of the beloved Royal Bagel at Ansley Mall in the early '90's, was the end of a great Bagel in Atlanta. Now don't get me wrong, but Bagel Palace makes a very good one. Enter Linton Hopkin's, and his little empire at the Aramore. We love nothing better than an early morning drop by, grab a still warm bagel, and with a schmear from heaven, at his H & F Bread Co. Many other wonderful baked goodies, and darn good coffee, but the Bagel is the thing.

The masterminds behind Eugene and H&F unload homemade breads and spreads, two doors down. – In Short
It's not hard to see culinary wizard, Linton Hopkin's footprint on the Atlanta dinin scene. His fine dining spot (Restaurant Eugene) and gastropub (Holeman and Finch) set the city's standard in both categories. Lodged in a glassy space two doors down, H&F Bread Co. is one part bustling NY breakfast shop, and one part bakery/market. Buckhead office elite drop in during perfect aroma hours for fluffy French pastries and coffee on their way into work. Lunchtime brings a chef-selected sandwich and soup option with a few high-top stools overlook Peachtree. With Hopkin's attention to detail, house-made specialties like pimento cheese and pesto are shown off in glass door refrigerators while interesting specifics like salted Vermont butter, New Orleans ham and just-baked baguettes make their sandwiches second to none.
