Young Crowd, Chill Atmosphere – I guess it serves me right for attending a bar / restaurant just down the block from Columbia University, but, we came out on a Saturday night.

Got there around 8 and there weren't too many people there, situated ourselves at at a 4 person booth overlooking the crowd. We ate some pretty good food and had a few beers to go along with that Our other friend joined us later and at the same time our waitress disappeared.

She was known as "Snooki" on our receipt but she took 10 minutes to come back to us once she gave us the bill. That was quite annoying because she didn't even acknowledge that we were waiting to pay. Probably could have walked out without paying but we're stand up people and didn't want to do that.

Long story short, there were too many young kids playing beer pong and making a ruckus that we couldn't wait to get the hell out of there. If you like a nice dinner out, I'd suggest coming before 8 although there may be no other guests joining you. If you like a ruckus, loud, beer-pong playing and unattentive waitress come after 9.

I'll probably check out another place that the VP in the UWS if I find myself back in the area soon.

I wrote a similar review for the Village Pourhouse downtown, my usual bar in the city, but on the managers suggestion I tried their uptown location. The main draw for me is that carry Redbridge, a Gluten Free Beer, which is very hard to find in the city. I found the uptown location to be right on par. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back!

Beware Credit Card Theft! – This is a good bar for catching the football games. The staff is really friendly, the beer prices are decent, and the food looked/smelled good (I didn't order any this time, but was very tempted.)

The tv's are good, and they have all of the games. I will definitely return...but will ONLY pay cash there as someone stole my credit card information from this bar.

I never use this particular credit card, and one day after using this card at the Pourhouse, it became active with fraudulent charges. Someone had taken my information (cc #/exp date/etc.) and generated their own credit card, and went on a spending spree.

To the management's credit, they were very concerned about this issue when I advised them of what happened, and I can't blame them or the bar owners for some jerk's actions. But I CAN warn others...give them cash only! Don't give them your credit card...someone on that staff is a thief. I will have all of the charges this jerk made on my card reimbursed by my bank -- I'm lucky to have a good bank that takes care of me for fraudulent charges -- but YOU might not be so lucky, and why risk it?!

So in summation...go...enjoy...be merry...just don't use your credit card!

"Animal House" instincts go a long way at this Upper West outpost of the downtown favorite for sports, suds and grub. – Uptowners rejoice, for you now have your very own version of this popular East Village brewhouse. With over 100 beers available (23 on tap), 15 plasma TVs, 3 projection screens, and a full menu of tasty bar snacks and sandwiches, Columbia students and local sports fans alike may think they've died and gone to heaven. In addition to a main drinking-and-dining room, the bar features several separate spaces, including the "Dugout," the "Skybox," and the "Red Light Room," all of which are available for private parties.

Hits: The beer selection is impressive and there are plenty of good deals to be had almost every night of the week.

Misses: If you're not in college, you may be acutely aware of it: From the Wednesday night beer pong tourneys to the Columbia-dominated crowd, the vibe here is frat house all the way.

Best Uptown Bar with Great Staff/Management – Bar Staff was very friendly and the drinks/food are well priced. Lots of space and plenty of TV's for a sports fan like myself. Wait Staff was very pleasant and the Manager even paid special attention to my friends and I. It's definitely my favorite place to go when I'm uptown.

my ONLY reason to go uptown! – so . . . was finally convinced to go up to a columbia friend's neighborhood. entirely worth it, and for the first time ever, am GLAD i took a cab! the bar gave me my cab reciept's worth of drinks, and even after then, the prices were treating me just fine. the waitresses aren't too hard on the eyes, either. am definitely coming back real soon (in a cab, of course)!

New Trivia Spot – I've been going to a couple places in the area for Trivia Night but hadn't check pourhouses out till this past Wednesday. I was surprised how busy it was for trivia and me and my friends had a blast. The hosts were a lot of fun and the prizes free drink tickets and open bars how could we say no, unfortunately we didn't win. Already planning a team for this week.

Great Happy Hour Spot – My friend won a free hour open bar last week and she just decided to redeem it - we did it from 5-6pm and still got to take advantage of their super cheap happy hour specials. The bartender was really friendly and it was crowded but not to packed to not find a place to sit. We were a large group and they gave us this little back room that I would have never know was there, the place is huge! Definitely will be trying to again in the near future

Terrible Experience – A group of 6 guys visited this bar last night. When we went to the bar to order, my friend was pushed by an obviously drunk fat guy for I guess encroaching on his space. Note this was our 2nd drink and we were far from intoxicated. The bartender actually did call the bouncer over but when he saw the guy pushing, he smiled and told us to leave the area. Obviously he knew the guy and/or he was a regular. When we refused to leave the area until we got our drink, he told us to leave the bar. The manager came out and refused to let us back in and was incredibly rude. He would not let us explain our side. Terrible management and staff - I agree with the post titled "rude staff." There are much better bars on the UWS than this. I will never be back.

Best Wings Uptown – Great place to watcha game. Probably best wings I've had in NY and a good draft beer selection(not as great as they claim if you are a craft beer drinker). TVs are everywhere and good groups of fans turn out. My only gripe is that beer pong mess. These fools totally ruin the atmosphere. Who the hell cares about some stupid drinking(cheap beer) game while the NFL playoffs or a great college B ball game is on??? I didn't even play that mess in college! Other than that a great place to watch a game and eat wings! Good Guinnes pour too.
