Moving from Atlanta to Bellevue, I needed to find a pilates studio that followed the traditional pilates method that I grew to love in my studio in Atlanta. After attending several in Bellevue, it is my opinion that this studio is the only option if you want a studio that follows the method, has many trained teachers to choose from and show attention to detail in applying the method. I have been attending Nancy pilates for three months at about 3-4 times a week. I look forward to it everyday.

I am a pilates beginner and was a lttle nervous about starting up. After my "trial" lesson at Nancy Wallace Pilates I was hooked! My instructor, Sarah, was really knowledgeable and encouraging. She helped me work muscles that hadn't been worked in quite a while! I've now had 5 additional sessions (private) and because of my schedule (I'm a substitute teacher) I've had four different instructors. They have all been wonderful and each one brings a strength and knowledge that I really appreciate. I would highly recommend this studio!

I have just returned to Pilates after several years away from it. The studio is very well appointed with an impressive variety of equipment in a large, bright, open studio.

Kelsey, my instructor is very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator. I am over 50 and have been having some neck, shoulder issues for awhile and she has been very careful not to aggravate that and to check with me about any discomfort to that area. In fact, my neck and shoulder have felt better for days after my sessions with her.

The scheduling and communications have also been very good and the staff I have met or spoken to, all very helpful. A final bonus, there is plenty of easy parking for access there as well.

If you are new to PIlates or returning to it from another location, I would recommend checking out this studio in Bellevue.

Taller = Happy – My one year anniversary with Core allowed me to celebrate jeans that are 6 sizes smaller, better posture, better flexibility, strength and attitude.

My best tip: engage your lats! It really helps me connect my shoulders to my core and not allow my shoulders to take over!

I've been going to Core Pilates for the past 3 years, and it has completely changed my outlook on exercise. Pilates is a lifestyle - and a good one at that. I love the instructors (who, by the way, are classically trained Pilates instructors - no trendy stuff going on here!). Each of them brings a perspective that enhances my overall health, whether it be in regards to nutrition, how I carry myself, or my core strength, the ideas carry me through each week. I highly recommend this studio.

LOVE IT! – Core pilates has been a part of my workout routine for over a year and a half. I was looking for a place to go that did not feel like a gym, did not have an attitude and where I could make significant gains in strength and flexibility which I have.

My experience with instructors and with classes has been wonderful and I would highly recommend Core to anyone.

What I tell most people about Core Pilates is this, I always feel better walking out then I did walking in. What more can someone ask for?

Extreme Sports Guy Loves Pilates – •

In recent years I have turned to Pilates to help reverse the damage from mountain biking, motor-cross, hiking, and the other extreme sports I was doing outside. A few years back I thought my days on the bike were over because of a really bad shoulder injury. Desperate I started taking Pilates and since then I have not only recovered 110% but I am actually stronger, increasingly more flexible, and my core is in the best physical condition of my life. I was the last person wanting to commit to a weekly routine and now, I tell every knuckle head I meet that this stuff is definitely not just for girls! I wanted to take a couple of minutes to say thank you to Nancy and Raquel for the great workouts and education over the last two weeks while I was in Seattle for work. I am completely pumped to take what I have learned back to my local studio and challenge them to focus more on my technique and advancing the exercises. I have no doubt if I were to live here in the Bellevue area you would see me everyday just so I can get my Pilates fix! Let’s hope for more work up in the Northwest and good luck to the Core Pilates team.

Best workout EVER! – 10 months ago, I joined Core Pilates desperate to find something to strengthen my core and alleviate my lower back pain. What I found was a whole new way of life. Exercise had always been somewhat of a chore to me and after having three kids, I just couldn't seem to find the time to fit it in with any sort of consistency. I was amazed at how quickly I became consumed with Pilates. I started thinking about it all of the time (mostly because I was trying to figure out what the heck they meant by "scoop my stomach in and up"). I began practicing in the car, at home washing dishes, laying in bed at night. It felt like I was learning a foreign language and I couldn't get enough of it. I started thinking more about what I was eating all day long, not in the sense of dieting, but in preparation for my workouts later in the day. I didn't want to have too full of a stomach, but I also wanted to have enough energy to get through the routine. My diet naturally improved and without much effort.

The instructors at CORE were amazing helping me understand the different exercises and engage muscles I hadn't felt in ages. Before I knew it, inches started melting away. My back pain was gone. And as I got better at the exercises, they became harder. That's the beautiful thing about Pilates, it's such a self-journey. There's always room for improvement. It never gets old. The instructors at CORE are meticulously trained to know whether you are performing the movement correctly and how to adjust you to help you get the very most out of your workout. I have never been happier with a workout program. The trainers here are worth every penny!

Recently, I started going to their Kangoolates clases. And just like when I first started doing Pilates, I feel a little bit like a fish out of water, wondering if I'm going to fall flat on my face in the rebound boots. But there's something there. Something magical and when I'm done, I feel lighter in my shoes (probably because I have just sweated my toosh off!) and I can tell that if I stick with it, I'm going to be hooked, just like I am with Pilates.

Great place for a man to do pilates – I finally went to Core Pilates after several years of thinking about adding something else to my exercise routine and I could not be happier. I chose this studio after getting 3 referrals from business colleagues, 2 men, 1 women. While most customers are women they have definitey made me feel comfortable. I have found the instructors to be of high quality across the board, and they allow me to go at my own pace which is probably a bit slower than average. The biggest surprise I have had is how much Pilates is doing to improve my strength and conditioning workouts. Turns out that many of the Pilates principles can be applied to helping me with lifting weights and other forms of conditioning. I can not more highly recommend this studio, especially if you are a man looking for a new challenge.
