its a nightclub ppl. go away if ur wack. – my opinion, as a person that goes out on miami beach not frequently... but enough. live here on the beach. is a chick.

yo. its a club. they do you expect to be treated like a vip if u look like crap... or are a swarm of guys... or have a stanky attitude with the front door???

(thats a question to ask yourself)

if any club let whoever the hell walked up to the line in immedeatly... its a party without the hype, the exclusivity, the talk, good looking girls, you get the picture.

the music is good, the crowd is interesting, the celebs go there, if u are trying to have a good time... then you'll have it.

if ur the kind of person that CAN'T go with the flow, is impatient, cheap as f**k ,has high service expectations, or are brutally ugly... or any of the above combined... THEN DONT GO!!! YOU ARE NOT WANTED THERE ANYWAY.

do you have to "know some1 to get the hook up?" the answer is no. but it helps... just like ANYWHERE!! if u know the waitress @ denny's thats extra pancakes!

the front door can be a wait, it all depends on the time u get there idiot. if ur confused as to why the club reached capacity... because smart ppl get there early. Dress well, dont hastle the door guy and arent surprised when one drink is $14 bucks.

to the guy that got robbed, damn, that sucks, sorry it happened. karma will get him since the police wont.

Lines Lines Lines...then disappointment. – Tight Velvet Rope. Crowd that gained entry was 35-65 yrs old.

Many people were slippin the "door man" an "additional entry fee" to be able to enter which is pretty much standard faire here I'm told.

Chatted with a few people in line that had tried to get in the night before (they actually were staying at the hotel) and were back to attempt again.

After about an hour I took my money elsewhere.

IMPOSSIBLE TO GET IN UNLESS YOU HAVE A THOUSAND TO DROP – Unless you have paid off the outside door guy approx $40 per person not including entry fee to the club OR bought a table/bottle for $300 or more you are NOT getting in this club.

Here's what to do about Liv – Folks, the experiences at Liv are nearly universal, why don't you simply TWEET and BLOG about this club?

As a long time Miami ( and South beach resident and business owner ) I can tell you that the average half life of a club is less than 9mths. LIV will likely be outdated before the end of 2009, but in the meantime, if you wish to cause the management serious pain...simply tell your friends...use Yelp, use Twitter, use your Blogs....make it known. Frankly, the Hotel doesn't need the club..and once the Hotel Management Chain gets wind of your experiences..LIV will be gone faster than you can blink an eye. Keep this in mind, I've seen the Beach fall, rise, fall, rise.....only the professionals endure. Liv is not professional and it will most certainly NOT endure regardless...give it a little push and down it will come.

Don't waste your time – LIV WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. VIP MANAGER IS A LIAR. WE HAD VIP RESERVATIONS SET I SPOKE WITH HIM ON THE PHONE TWICE AND BY EMAIL TO CONFIRM. HE SAID WE HAD TO PAY 1 BOTTLE FOR EVERY 2 PEOPLE. I AGREED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS RIDICULOUS. WE GOT THERE AND HE ACTED LIKE I WASNT STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM THE WHOLE TIME. THEY DO NOT LET BLACK PEOPLE IN AND EVEN THE SECURITY GUY IN THE FRONT SAID IT WAS A SHAME HOW THEY HANDLE BUSINESS. SO REGARDLESS OF TABLE SERVICE/VIP SERVICE OR $$$$ YOU STILL CANT IN. AND TO TOP IT OFF I HEARD THEM TELLING PEOPLE COLLARED SHIRTS WERE A MUST--YET SEVERAL PEOPLE WALKED IN WITHOUT A COLLARED SHIRT AND THE CROWD WAS TOLD "OH THEY KNOW THE PROMOTERS" AT ONE POINT THE VIP MANAGER PASSES US BY FOR THE 50TH TIME IN THE LINE AND YELLS TO ME "THE VIP IS NOW 3000.00 THATS IT TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" THEN HE EVEN TOOK TIP MONEY FROM ONE OF THE EX-NFL GUYS IN MY PARTY AND HE STILL MADE US WAIT MORE. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO MANAGEMENT ABOUT THEIR CHOICE OF VIP MANAGERS AND RESULTS ARE PENDING. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLUB!!!!

Nice club but not worth the hassle – I live in Miami and I typically frequent the trendier places in Miami: Louis, Gansevoort rooftop, Florida Room(Delano), Shore Club, BanCroft, Set, W Hotel, etc. Most of these places can be a pain to get in if they are packed but if you look good and have a good looking girl with you...it should not be a problem. As for Liv, it is just a pain. Unless you know the bouncer. And they are like that because we allow them to be like that. "Please please let me in"----come on people! It's a club like any other. I have seen people who have given their credit card and still have to wait in line. That was until this professional football player or wrestler decided to tell them to screw off, walked right passed the bouncers and asked for his card back. Look people...the truth is that the crowd looks a lot better on the outside(waiting in line) than once you are inside. At least, that's what I have seen. Pretty girls outside, not so pretty inside. Where are they? They go to the VIP with the guys who spent $1500 to have some girls around them. Sad but true. Same goes for the guys according to my girlfriends. I like clubs but it's just not worth it. And that's that I have a hookup to get in for free without having to wait. But my friends always go through the same hassle. And I always see the same mass of people waiting outside for no reason bc it's half empty inside. A huge line outside and the entire second floor is empty inside. Nor would I wait in line for an hour nor have to slip the bouncer $60 on top of cover. Check Liv out once and see what I mean.

BEWARE! I GOT ROBBED IN LIV MIAMI. – IMPORTANT!!! READ!!! BEWARE THIS CLUB - I WAS ROBBED THERE!!! I 'm a tourist. I entered this club on October 23rd, 2009 on the Flo Rida new video presentation party. Prepaid (this is important) a table to get in (gave my credit card, signed pre-authorization form and later when ordered two bottles I signed for the total, my card was successfully charged for 1,5k). During our short stay ( we didn't even finish a half of a bottle and second bottle was untouched) I was abused several times by the security ( we never touched anyone, didn't scream or did anything wrong), when asked him what's going on he said we 'll have a "talk" outside, when kicking me out stole my golden chain, on the street called the police and they arrested me , I spent 12 hours in jail. He said I didn't pay the bill and I have a proof I did. I had a big golden chain on top of my clothes, this bouncer next to our table just robbed me and lied to police to get me arrested.

Worst Club Experience Ever. – I paid a lot of money to see the Matisayhu concert at the VIP section of the club. I was manhandled and kicked out of the club last nught by some boneheaded security guards because they were too stupid to figure out that I did have tickets to the VIP section. Before even giving me the opportunity to speak, three security guards forecfully took my arm and put me in a neck hold. My arm and neck still hurts from their brutal treatment. I would avoid this place if you don't want to have your night ruined by some thugs dressed as security officers. To thier credit, they finally let me back in when they realized that I did nothing wrong. It's too bad that this club will be closed down as their are plenty of other people that have had bad experiences such as the one I had.

liv is more $$$ than rockefelars – I can totally understand teh vip scene but where do you draw the line for the cost of a drink? is 17 bucks and change tip included your speed? with the ecoomy busting I guess the only people going to liv are the ceo's who got there tarp funds or there kids!! HEY WHAT A THOUSAND BUCKS FOR A BOTTLE OF VODKA! AND A TABLE IN THE CLUB? Do yourself a favor take your hard earned money elsewhere or even donate it to a local charity because you wont feel like such a smuck in the morning..
