Best Dive Bar San Diego - LGBT Friendly – Where to begin, Its a Dive bar and others will knock it down in rating for that So I give it 5 stars, It truly is the best little dive bar I have personally ever encountered and am glad to know all the bartenders and locals that go there, So many lil nooks and crannys to hang out in, People are friendly the Jukebox amazing The drinks poured like they should be at a dive bar, Multiple smoking areas and theme decorated according to season. LGBT friendly and easy on the wallet. Every time I wake with the smell of cheers attached to my clothing the next day, all that rings through my head is that damn Toby Keith song " I love this bar" So I proudly recommend this dive bar to all I know and to those who I do not! Your friendly neighborhood bar indeed.... May cheers live forever in University Heights.

Worst staff, they are rude, they lie to each other and to the customers. – Cheers is so not the place to go! The staff are rude and lie. They lie to each other, and to the customers. Get on their good side and all you receive is a cold shoulder. Get on their bad side, however innocent you may be when you done it, then you're out the door.

For Example: When I went on a late Friday night, I was in smoking on the patio. The bar back said he knew me, I told him it must be some mistake, which was true. Shortly thereafter, without a word, he came back and took away my beer. I thought he was playing (because he said he knew me) so I tried to grab it back. Blocking my grab, the beer tipped over. The bar back left to get a towel and before I could take 2 more drags off my smoke, I was told to leave.

Kicked out! What for? "For knocking over my drink." The Bar Tender said the bar back told me not to drink on the patio. Not true. He lied to her, she lied to me, and I was thrown out. Shiesty.
