Frozen Yogurt Made Just For you. I went to Loving Cup this weekend and it was fantastic. You can choose chocolate or vanilla yogurt and they have a ton of toppings you can add. Unlike other frozen yogurt places, each cup of yogurt at Loving Cup is made when you order it. The yogurt comes in blocks and is put in a special machine that mashes it up and swirls it out into the cup. The best part of this whole process is that instead of putting the toppings on top of the frozen yogurt, they mix the toppings into the yogurt. It’s amazing; I recommend the

The Real Frozen Yogurt Spot. This is one of the few (and maybe only) places in San Francisco that actually serves frozen yogurt as compared to sugary soft serve. They take an individual helping from the freezer and lovingly make each individual cup (pun intended). Other options include different variations on hand-made puddings, and more unconventional toppings than you can conceive. Think of it as the Whole Foods of frozen yogurt spots. The crisp cleanliness might have to do with its somewhat highfalutin location, but you better believe they have the friendliest of staff to off-set the pretentiousness. Weather-pending, you can relax on their cozy bench outside and watch all the manicured poodles pass you by.

Cup of Loving!. Yum! The rice pudding here is ah-mazing.. and since it is made with non-fat milk its actually good for you. I am addicted to the madagascar vanilla bean- seriously. I also love the Chai and the Pistachio with tons of nuts. The small is actually quite large and a good deal at $3.75. Had a really good cup of strong "Barefoot" brew as well and love that they use only organic milk. Nice addition to the hood.

Giving the fro-yo trend a run for its money, this Polk Street dessert shop specializes in rice pudding.. With SF reaching fro-yo saturation comes the opening of this sugary temple to another of ice cream's underappreciated siblings: pudding. And not just any pudding: Loving Cup specializes in rice pudding, a tapioca-like dessert that is generally vanilla in both senses of the word, only this Polk Street shop gives it the royal treatment. Six or seven flavors daily (ranging from the simple Madagascar vanilla to peanut butter or mocha) are served plain or with a variety of toppings. And yes, of course there's frozen yogurt, too, with base flavors of chocolate or vanilla and any ingredient you can think of available for mix-ins (not just toppings). Keep an eye out also for hot drinks and the odd baked good or two.
