Fine, maybe you don’t think bakeries should look like Design Within Reach studios, but you can’t argue with this modern Division Street destination's chocolate praline croissant, a flaky-chewy-buttery marvel that kind of leaves you wondering what just happened and how you can relive the experience. (This is why I get three at a time.)

The mecca for local pastry lovers and true connoisseurs of French-style artisan bread. Try any fresh fruit danish, the chocolate croissants, or the open-faced cured salmon sandwich for brunch and get weak in the knees.

Anyone who knows me knows I go WAY out of my way for a cookie. But my jam at Little T is...BREAD. It's all aces but don't miss the spelt.

People w/ Food Allergies, Stay Away! – I came in to inquire about food allergies in their baked goods. One of their bakers refused to answer any questions about ingredients citing "secret recipes. " Not only was he unwilling to share basic ingredients, but he was unable to firmly deny the allergen I was concerned about (e.g. "I don't think so.") This is not good enough when someone has allergic reactions. Please avoid if you or someone you care about has allergies. This experience was an example of very poor customer service. We will not be back. There are other wonderful bakeries in Portland that are willing to share their ingredients and are knowledgeable about their ingredients including allergens.

This Clinton neighborhood artisan bakery and cafe creates a community space for bread lovers. – In Short
At the base of the Clinton Condominium building, this clean-lined bakery and café creates an industrial vibe with wood detailing, concrete floors, and stark white café chairs. Behind the wide front counter, a grey, tile-backed wall frames a large chalkboard menu listing daily offerings from a pear and prosciutto sandwich to farro vegetable soup. For dessert, take a peek into the hefty wood-and-glass pastry case that tempts with plates of nubby chocolate chip cookies, flaky croissants, and a yellow birthday cupcake crowned with a flourish of frosting that leaves sweet tooths positively swooning.
