“Plus an amazing location.”
“No pint glasses for the Guinness, and food and drink are pricey.”
“It's a college/yuppie/young hipster spot but it's got good music, good drinks, and great food.”
“Great diverse college crowd, always great music and drinks are fairly priced.”

“The service was very fast which is great considering how crowded it was.”

worst. ever.. It's like a frat party with a cover charge. I strongly suspect they watered my beer. It's more or less the most horrifying frat bar in Allston, which is a highly competitive position. Don't be friends with people that go here, they like Dave Mathews.
Always a good time. Doesn't matter what day I go, it's always fun. Great diverse college crowd, always great music and drinks are fairly priced. The dance floor is a good size and there is another one downstairs if the top one gets crowded. Cheap admission, i think ladies usually get in free before a certain time. My favorite no fail bar!
Great Fun!. The Kells is always a good time. Beer Pong Sundays, Dancing Saturdays & Fridays. . .There's always a slew of things to do at this BU favorite.
Where the college crowd flocks for Guinness, Asian snacks, live music and a good time..
The Scene
The Kells is the biggest and splashiest of Allston-Brighton's many Irish bars, with performance spaces and music both upstairs and down. Its stately mahogany decor gives it an old-world feel, even when it's packed with boisterous undergrads. The club plays host to thirsty Boston College and Boston University crowds--along with any other student types who don't mind schlepping out to Allston-Brighton. A lot of patrons are on the prowl, so it's a good place to go if you're single but looking.
The Draw
Guinness is a staple here, as are traditional frat-boy drinks like domestic beers and kamikaze shots. Popular local DJs spin a variety of original rock, dance music and reggae just about every night, and live entertainment is featured occasionally. Surprisingly, Asian fare dominates the food menu, and fruity Polynesian cocktails are available to accompany teriyaki sticks and pu pu platters.
Great music.. Every song that came on was my favorite. The service was very fast which is great considering how crowded it was. And the dance floor was crowded enough to make it fun, but not so many people you have a panic attack. If you're looking for a place to sit down and chill with friends this is not your place, if you're looking to dance then I recommend Kells.
The place to be. This is one of the hottest spots in Boston. Thursday are unbelievable. Fridays and Saturdays the DJs play all you favorites. None of this snotty crap that goes on at the other clubs. This is now my favorite spot to go.
Wednesday night tradition. After living in Allston for a summer, there was one consistent event: wednesday night at the Kells. Miller lite drafts for $1...usually a radio station (wbcn, waaf) having contests.
Not worth your time. If you're looking for a traditional Irish pub, this place ain't it. No pint glasses for the Guinness, and food and drink are pricey. Good place to go clubbing and meet people, but bad place if you just want to relax and have a few. Overall, I was disappointed, but it's packed on a Friday/Saturday night, so it can't be all bad.
You can't beat $1 drafts. Wednesday nights have become a tradition at The Kells. How can you beat $1 drafts on Humpday?! Granted, it is only for Miller Lite. . . . but hey, you drink Busch light and Naty light at parties don't you?
