Extremely fresh and the owners care what you think! – Akai is grreat!
I also like Hakata in Midtown.
I like both of these restaurants because of their fresh salmon and tuna... I cannot vouch for everything, but Akai has delicious Nabe Yaki Udon, Salmon, Tuna, and shrimp... My wife really likes the ginger dressing that they serve with their salads.
For me, Japanese food is all about being fresh and Akai has that down well.
I don't know if I like the decor of the restaurant though... it is entirely painted red :?
The best Japanese food in NYC! – I went to this restaurant with my coworkers last night. The sushi was very fresh and yummy! The waitress was so sweet and helpful. I will definitely recommend this sushi lounge to my friends and family.
Editorial Review – Defining upscale dining, enjoy fresh seafood, modern cuisine, specialty cocktails and a sleek atmosphere at this New York Japanese restaurant.
