A little below average – Food there is decent but not really for people who are vietnamese decend or had real vietnamese food before. Very westernized style of cooking. Price is a little high but expected for the location that it is in. Staff is average, it depends on the day you eat there.
Good on my wallet – Pho Pasteur was recommended to me by a friend and I went there with another friend. It was so good! We were seated immediately and service was great. First, I wasn't sure if I should get a soup or stir fry. I asked the waiter but he was no help. So I finally ordered one of the smaller sizes of soups. In about five minutes the food arrived. I was shocked. The soup was very tasty and the "small" soup was larger than I expected. And, I paid like $6 for a meal I barely finished. Definitly worth the trip. I'm going again with another friend.
Good Pho in Cambridge – If you're around Harvard Square and looking for affordable Vietnamese food, then Pho Pasteur is a good choice. If you're near Chinatown/Theatre District, there are cheaper and better pho restaurants around. The service is very fast, but impersonal. Which is fine with me, at least they come by consistently to refill my water.
good food cheap......not great service – This restaurant serves excellent food for really cheap. The service is not good. The waitstaff are in such a rush , you dont get eye contact, and the food is thrown in front of you, but the quality of the FOOD and the cheap prices keep me coming back.
Pho Good – Pho is fast, cheap, and always delicious. Try the one in Allston for authentic atmosphere, and the one in the Theatre District for upscale Vietnamese goodness. (Caveat: the Theatre District locale has pricier entrees on the menu in addition to the traditional dishes.)
Great food, reasonable prices! – I find this place to be a gem of Harvard Square. I have always liked pho, but I thought you had to go to Chinatown for that. Then some friends brought me here and I'm glad I discovered this location. The portions are sizable, any of the pho soup noodles are tasty, and the prices are very reasonable.
It's AWESOME! – I LOVE this place! I don't care however long the wait is, I will wait! This place serves very very good Vietnamese food. I alwasy get Dac Biet. It's HUGE and it's GOOD! Service is not too friendly, but very fast. As long as food is good and cheap who cares! I would recommend this place any time. If you are craving for Mexican, check out Taqueria Mexico in Waltham. It's cheap and great!
Slurper's Delight – The Allston location offers everyone a slurper's delight. Where else can you slurp up all the soup in a huge bowl for under $7? All of phos are good and filling.
This noodle is the best – Try the soup...on a cold new england afternoon, drop into one of these resturants and warm yourself with their delicious food.
