We had 19 windows and one door installed in 2013 by Weather Tight and the service was excellent. We were referred to them by my sister and her husband who had these windows installed a couple of years ago and were really satisfied with their service so we decided to try them. Now my son and his family had them installed in 2014 so he has Weather Tight windows and doors too. We're like one big Weather Tight family. In response to "Timeshare presentations at Wis Dells" The problem with anonymous online reviews is we have no idea how to verify the accuracy of the complaints. I can say for certain that whoever posted this comment made no mention of his/her displeasure to us. If he/she had, we could have had the opportunity to find out what went so wrong at the sales appointment and take corrective action. In response to the specifics of this review, 1) the only reason an appointment would take 3 hours is if the customer keeps the rep there with questions; our normal demonstration including measurements can normally be done in about 60 to 90 minutes; 2) I’m not sure what the “several prices” were, but we have a clearly stated pricing structure that applies to all customers; there may be multiple sales happening simultaneously, but it is hardly to the customer’s disadvantage to hear them all! 3) if the owner called to follow up, again it was because the customer had expressed interest in considering the project at a lower price, and we would of course want to review the price if that were the customer’s main concern—not to lower it artificially, but to discuss product or warranty options that can be revised in order to make the project more affordable. If any of these things truly were done the negative way this reviewer suggests, we would be immediately stepping in to correct this salesperson’s presentation and the improper way he handled this customer’s needs. But with the anonymous review, we have no other response than to explain how our company’s processes should, and usually do, work. It’s certainly possible this reviewer has confused us with another company, but for readers who are looking for accurate commentary, please view the hundreds of testimonials from actual customers on our website.

Timeshare presentations at Wis Dells are wonderful compared to these sales men. Expect to spend 3 hours with someone, expect several prices and intensives every time you say 'no, or we need to think about it'. Wait for a call from an owner 2 weeks later with 'even a better price after looking at the quote!'. You will be bullied during the sales call.

Horrible policies... – I must say that there policy of having both husband and wife present for the estimate turned me off instantly. When I called to book an appointment (at 2:00pm), I was told by a representative that they could come out at 5:30 that day. I had originally at another appointment at 6:00pm and was advised that I should cancel or change the 6pm appointment. But further in the conversation I was told that my wife had to be in attendance in order to set up the appointment. At that time I advised the rep that she was not available and we had agreed that I would be making a decision on this project. I was told that the appointment would have to be rescheduled. I requested to speak to the manager on duty and was told by the rep that she would speak with the manager and call me back. I waited until 4:45pm and did not receive a call back. So I called and was told that they could not get approval from the manager because the manager left earlier (must not be a 9-5 position).

What strikes me as odd is when we bought our house, our realtor never requested that both of us be present for our appointment and when I got to Lowes to buy a new pair of washer/dryer, I didn't here for the sales rep, "Oh, sorry I can't take to you because your wife is not here. Your money is no good."

I must say that I see Weather Tight's commercial every morning on TMJ 4. I have always been interested to contact them as we are redoing all of our windows and patio door. At this point, I am glad that I will not be working with them. IF they are that demanding with minuscule policies, I am sure their sales reps are trained to shove as much crap down there customers' throats.

My word of mouth advertising for this company will be nothing but negative. Thank you for the unpleasant experience.

I'm sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience with Weather Tight. Without your full name, I'm not sure whether you've contacted us with your concerns or not, but I'd be happy to talk to you more about them if you'd like to discuss them.

The comments you made are certainly not normal Weather Tight policy. I understand your frustration at the things you perceived to be high pressure, and would definitely invite you to contact us directly about your concerns. The other reviews on this board, our national Contractor of the Year award, and 2 BBB Torch Award for Ethics in Business finalist nominations should also serve as a counterpoint to these comments.

Customer Service needs work – I had siding put on my house. Be prepared, my first sales contact took 3 hours - way too long in my opinion. They also insisted that all the owners of the house be present. . Any contact with the office took time and effort. Nobody is ever at their desk. Everybody is very polite but I think the office staff must be overworked or something because they take a couple of days to call you back. I expect that when I am spending $20,000 on something they would call you back right away. The actual work on the house went well and looks great. The installation did take longer than the sales lady implied. I had some issues with the caulking and they came back and fixed them but it took them a month from when I called. I do appreciate that they have an A+ rating with the BBB.

Unprofessional – Scheduled an appointment for an estimate with weathertight, but my wife could not make it at the last minute due to a death of family member and funeral she had to attend. The reps refused to give me any information or do any of the estimate. They claimed to have overbooked the appointment and left within ten minutes supposedly to go to an appointment with another home where both of the owners could make the appointment. It was difficult for me even to get home in time just to make this appointment. I kept up my end of the bargain, which was to be at the house at the appointed time and it was very inconvenient for me to do so. Weathertight broke that promise, for no good reason. My wife had to be at a freaking funeral for Christ's sake! And there's no reason why they couldn't have laid out the options for me and I could have called them later with a decision. Naturally, all of this is a cover for the fact that these companies get both of you there and try to pressure you into a sale that night. That's why they have that policy. So you can't pull the whole, "I have to talk to my manager line" that they always pull on you. Bullshit.

Need a new roof? Look no further! – We live in a sprawling two story 1950 patio home in Watertown and we just had our roof replaced by Weathertight. Yes in the middle of winter with snow on the roof. It was a warm (20 degrees) day with no sun. The crew showed up at daybreak and had the roof shoveled in 1 hour. Three hours later the roof was bare. Four hours later the underlayment and flashing were completed. By the end of the day the roof was on and the debris picked up and put neatly in the trash container. What amazed me was the skill and attitude of the crew. Roofing is not easy when the weather is ideal. These guys made it look like a piece of cake and enjoyed every minute of it. Their work was top notch too. Extra care was made to ensure that the flashing around the chimney was completed correctly to prevent leaks. The following day the trash container disappeared and our gutter covers were fine tuned. It was a real pleasure to deal with a professional organization. I would recommend them for any roof replacement summer, fall, winter or spring.
