The Maple. It's a bfast sando (sausage, grilled fennel, cheddar) where the bread steals the show. Sliced bread pudding, that is! Add to this tiny cups of coffee so that even your last sip is warm (help yerself refills), and this is heavenly.

If you're in the mood for a sandwich AND a pint, head next door to MCB owner John Stewart's bottle shop, Beer, and don't forget your sandwich.

Bustling little sandwich shop that packs a lot of yummy goodness into their big sandwiches. The hot green bean with soft boiled egg & bacon sandwich was amazing. All deserts made in house as well. Fast, friendly service and ample indoor seating

Follow up a sandwich at this colorful SE Stark eatery with a freshly baked Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie, with pecans and large flakes of Maldon sea salt inside and out.

Cool, funky, and devoted to the ultimate trinity, these sandwich swamis stack some of the city's best (they make a mean breakfast burrito too). You can't go wrong regardless of what you order, but I love the grilled green bean sandwich with bacon relish--which can be converted into a salad for gluten free divinity. And no MCB meal is complete without a housemade creme fraiche brownie.

Mouth Magic! – Based on my eating schedule, here are my picks. The breakfast burrito is a beast. Add bacon if you dare. For lunch and or dinner or anytime you aren't eating the breakfast burrito, try the BLB or the Pulled Pork (see the themes developing, oink). The beets somehow work. Though they're not something I would ever think to put in a sandwich, there some flavor they've got that I can't describe but if you try the sandwich without them it's just not the same. The pulled pork too is out of this world. Drippy goodness comes with that bad boy.

A hidden Gem! – I have been fortunate enough to eat and experience Meat Cheese Bread on Stark. I was blown away by the creative flair of there menu, from there soup-of-the-day, drink varieties, quality ingredients, and down to earth feel. It is the first place on my list of cravings destination.

Highly recommend the BLB sandwich. (bacon, lettuce, beets)

Buckman neighborhood sandwich shop spins surprising twists on the lunchtime standard. – This tiny Stark Street storefront is all honey blonde wood and checkered floors, keeping the decor simple and the attention on the shop's stars: refined sandwiches served on handmade breads. Park Kitchen alum John Stewart masterminds a selection of seasonally driven sandwiches that go beyond pedestrian offerings; eastside foodies arrive in twos and threes to sample a belly-warming pork belly Bolognese on a handmade roll and vegetarian noshes like a granny smith apple, honey butter, brie, vinaigrette and frisee combo. For breakfast, there's burritos laced with green chile salsa and for dessert, Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches and housemade chocolates.
