excellent maki – My girlfriend and I just ate here for the first time. She is a sushi conesseur. I just enjoy sushi, WE BOTH LOVED KABUKI!! The sushi pieces are FRESH!! The host and waiter was cool and told us what's the best on the menu, especially the maki. It's a Good spot. I'm definately going back.

the best in the area – new to the area, so I tried almost all the sushi places by lincoln park, the only I still come back is Kabuki. Went there on Saturday again, I was surprised the owner knows my name, very friendly services, i guess everyone now knows how good this place is, there were many people there. I ordered sushi for myself, and sashmi for my boyfriend as long with some maki and saki martini, very fresh and tasty, definitely would worth a trip.

good sushi with decent price – went there on friday with my co-workers, really enjoyed the dinner, ordered the sushi boat, what a nice exciting presentation, i wish i had a camera with me to take a picture of this. We also got some saki matini, super taste, great price, it goes great with the fresh sushi, all of us had a wonderful time there, will definitely be back.

What a treat – I live near lincoln park, and I love sushi. Last week I went my with my fiancee to Kabuki, and discovered one of the best sushi around the city. I have tried many places, but Kabuki's sushi boat is probably the freshest sushi i have ever had. We also ordered some sake, it's a great treat, definitely will be back, the staff is very friendly and I really like the decor on the wall.

wonderful – I came in here with my wife last week. I ordered the boat for myself and my wife. It was pretty damn good. The fish was fresh and tasted great. we also ordered the crunchy california roll and the miami roll. It was SO GOOD. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. My wife is already asking if we can go for her birthday. We'll be back for sure!

an enjoyable meal – After the beach, it's always great to visit a sushi place with great service. We were seated promptly and ordered appetizer, and sushi and drinks. A few minites later, a wonderful dish of sushi was placed before us. It has such wonder aroma and taste. Our waiters were prompt and they made sure we enjoyed ourselves. I will return again.

A fabulous place for japanese! – My husband and I have come here several times now: the first time being after Kabuki was named as one of Chicagos top 15 by Chicago magazine. It was close by and we wanted to go someplace special since I got a promotion at work, so it made sense that we go. It wasnt as swanky as some other places, but I liked it. We got a couple makis, I think rainbow was one of them, dragon was another. My favorite was the soft shell crab oneits called the spider makiIve had it a few times nowvery good. We also got an order of one of their noodle dishes-Nabi udon, which I also highly recommend, but in the summer heat, an order of soba hits the spot.

terrible food, terrible service – I live right around the corner and used to be a regular of Kabuki, not because the food is great, but because its convenient. The sushi is, to be fair, decent. But the prices are high, and the pieces are too small for the money charged. In addition, I ordered Steak Teriyaki and was served a bad piece of meat -- it was too fatty to even bite into. I apologized and sent it back, politely because I never send food back. They brought me a half portion of Chicken Teriyaki. I asked why, and the owner said it was "because I had eaten half". That certainly wasn't true, I tried 3 slices and spit each one out on the plate. Anyways, this is my experience here and I wish you the best of luck selecting a Japanese restaurant!
