Moving Back to Texas – Having just moved to the Boston area from Texas, I was thrilled when acquaintences recommended that I try La Paloma, which they called the "best Mexican food in town". Well if La Paloma is the best Mexican food in town, I'm moving back to Texas. The food was awful and nothing near any legitmate Mexican, Tex-Mex, or Cali-Mex food I've ever had. If you have ever enjoyed real Mexican food, please don't go to La Paloma - it can only break your heart.
THE BEST IN BOSTON – I am serious when I say that La Paloma is worth the trip out of Boston and into the suburb of Quincy. I have lived many places, and they have THE BEST Mexican food and drinks anywhere. There used to be a second La Paloma in South Weymouth, but sadly they closed it a few years back. Check it out - you will be glad that you did!
Best Mexican! – This place is AMAZING. If you're looking for the best Mexican food and margaritas--this is the place to check out. Its location--situated between a Wendy's and a Sub Shop in a mini mall--wouldn't normally draw people in. The admosphere is small and seating is a little too close for comfort. BUT, between the delicious appetizers, the Grande margarita (so HUGE, its required that 2 people share it), and the overall menu this place is a must see. Even for the North Shore who have had On the Border. This place is better and cheaper! Their kicking homemade salsa is so yummy they now sell it in your local grocery store. If that's not an excuse to check this place out---I don't know what is! Plan carefully---they are closed on Mondays.
Rich – We lived in Austin, TX for several years and while nothing that I've tried in the Boston area comes close to the Mexican food in Texas, La Paloma is the best of the lot.
We have been going to La Paloma for several years and it is consistently good. The enchiladas and burritos are excellent, especially with their chile sauce. Great food and excellent value. Highly recommended
come early parking is shared by other stores, great food.
Pretty good food, pretty awful service – I went to this restaurant after reading all the good reviews online, and was quite disappointed, as I usually am with Mexican food in Boston. The food was quite good, but the service is some of the worst that I've ever had. Our server absolutely unattentive, coming to our table only to take our order and deliver the check. They also charge for refills of soda, apparently, which is something I find completely unnecessary in this type of establishment, especially since they didn't tell me that I would be charged for it. In summary, the food is above average, but the service spoiled my experience. If you don't live near or in Quincy, it's probably not worth the drive.
The best Mexican north of the border – My wife and I love this place. The Tacos, enchilladas, chips and salsa are the best I have ever had. They make a fine margarita too!
