DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST. In a raging snowstorm and ten degree temperatures, a flower arrangement was delivered and left to the right of our front door on top of a small shelf that's about 5' high. Neither my husband nor I saw it until this morning at 7 am when we went out to shovel. If it had been left in front of the front door, we probably would have seen it. Or if we had received a phone call saying an arrangement had been left, we would have found it. Now all I have is one very dead arrangement that was probably beautiful, and the florist tells me there's nothing he can do. "He did his job," he said, and "if we didn't check our front door, that's our problem, not his." Wow - not sure how they stay in business with an attitude like this so please be forewarned. It was an order phoned in to Boston City Florist from an out-of-state florist so I will definitely make sure that out-of-state florist knows to take Boston City Florist off of their 'farm it out to' list. And I will write the Boston Better Business Bureau. But I thought it also warranted a warning to others. DON'T USE THIS FLORIST.
Just got my girlfriend roses for her birthday... it came out awesome! I had it delivered to her work and she told me everyone in the office was talking about how amazing they were! I was very happy with the quality and on time delivery. The woman I dealt with on the phone was very friendly and helpful, guiding me through my choices within my personal budget. Would definitely recommend.
Great service and great flowers – I just ordered flowers with Boston City Florist for my mother on her birthday. I ordered an inexpensive bouqet for $70 and the flowers were beautiful. I asked for a nice arrangement full of bright colors and that's exactly what I got. Nick, the owner, was extremely nice over the phone and knew exactly what I wanted. I wouldn't use another florist!!
Don't use these guys....terrible service – Terrible. Don't use these guys....bad product, over pricing and the worst service imaginable.
I ordered flowers for my wife on Mother's Day using their website. When I got home that evening and saw the $65 bouquet these guys delivered, my first reaction was "this looks a lot less impressive than the photo on their website." But I let it slide. A few weeks later, I ordered flowers for my wife's birthday in early June, again from their website...again a $65 bouquet. The arrangement that showed up was the scrawniest looking arrangement imaginable....it had maybe 1/2 half the number of flowers the website photo showed.
But worse was to come... I emailed them to complain and included a photo of this sad looking display. The manager / owner (foreign accent) called me with the worst attitude I've experienced from a service provider. He insisted they arrangement they'd delivered looked exactly like the photo on the website (total B.S.). He then insulted me by saying my problem was I was "cheap" and that if I wanted a nicer arrangement I should order a more expensive one. For $65?!!. Either way, the arrangement they delivered did not look like what they're displaying on the site. From there, the conversation degenerated into an insult-match.....I think the owner is a little nuts.
Anyway, don't take the risk of buying from these guys. When you're buying flowers for your mother / wife / girlfriend, you need to feel confident that the service providercan be trusted to deliver a nice arrangement that looks like the one you ordered. These guys failed that test twice miserably and worse still, got hostile when called out on it.
GREAT FLOWER SHOP AND UNIQUE FLOWERS I wanted to buy some exotic flowers for my girlfriend's birthday and Boston City Florist accomodated all of my needs and beyond. When she receieved the flowers she said that it was the most beautiful, contemporary arrangement that she has ever seen. When she texted me a picture of the arrangement, I was so happy that I used Boston City Florist and knew I had to go online and recommend this flower shop to everyone! Definetely use Boston City Florist for all your flower needs!!!
GREATEST FLOWER SHOP EVER !!!!!! – BEST FLOWER SHOP EVER!! I have been a customer of BOSTON CITY FLORIST for years I have two doughters that attend Boston university. I have been sending flowers for my doughters through them often. I have never been more pleased with thier flowers and service, It makes me mad that people put bad reviews about the flower shop that do not deserve it. I recommend using this shop for all your flower needs. You will not be sorry!!!!!!
DO NOT USE BOSTON CITY FLORIST – I ECHO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS POSTED BELOW. My sister died after a long illness this month. I received a bouquet from Boston City. It was a small, less than impressive bouquet that faded w/in 3 days. I didn't want to say anything to my friends because they had been so thotful. However, today I found out they spent $100 - this was NOT even close to a $100 bouquet - more like $30. I called & spoke w/ Nick, the owner. I presented my concerns calmly & quietly & received an angry, accusatory attack in response plus excuses because it was order thru a 3rd party website.. No resolution. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST.
Best Florist in Boston! – I stopped by the other day to purchase a reasonable arrangement for my roommate. Not only was the young girl who helped me extremely helpful and patient, but the flowers were beautiful and lasted a long time. Definitely visit this place if you need an amazing arrangement.
Want your flower recipient to get yelled at? – Do you want the recipient of your flowers to be yelled at? Do you want extremely rude customer service to your loved ones trying to figure out a way to receive the flowers?
Well, then Boston City Florist is your best bet to make sure the person receiving the flowers will get yelled at by the company even though it was not their fault for not receiving the flowers.
I echo the many review of poor customer service.
The managers of this company were angry, rude, inflexible, and unprofessional. They were unaccomodating and flat-out confrontational. I have never, ever had an experience of customer service like this, even in NYC.
When asked about why they were arguing and yelling at the recipient of the flowers, the person on the phone refused to admit customer service and satisfaction was important to them.
Bad product and bad attitude – Bought a $100.00 arrangement for my wife and it was dead in three days. When I called to complain the manager was very rude and said I should have called within 24 hours of the delivery, which of course makes no sense. Their guarantees of fresh flowers did not seem to mean anything to him.
