Not so sweet... – Just had Sweet Tomatoes last night or the first time, and was very unimpressed. The pizza literally fell apart as I was trying to take a slice out of the box, as the dough was mushy and soggy. The staff seemed confused when I arrived, as they had seemingly forgotten to make my order. I am not sure if anyone else has had similar experiences, but I know that I will never go back there again. I certainly feel as though I wasted my money...
white clam pie... oh my – ST's offers more than just an extraordinary traditional thin crust pie - their specials truly are something else. The White Clam pie, which pulls of New Haven CT fame, is a masterpiece.
I have eaten this pizza on their sidewalk table and every passerby either looked longingly, or had to ask what it was I was eating. Delicious! By far the best pizza in the Boston area.
Out of This World – Sweet Tomatoes has the absolute best Pizza in Boston. It's a shame that there isn't a larger seating area so that everyone can enjoy their pizza perfection. The make the absolute best thin crust pizza that I've ever tasted in my life. It's worth driving outside the city for me or hopping on the Green Line to Newton Centre.
My only small complaint about the service is that they don't let you pay up front. It's often difficult to pay once you're finished since it's often busy.
Thumbs down – Simply, not the place for pizza. Look around and you will certainly find a better, thin crust pizzeria.
Not so sweet.... – I am disappointed to say that after a long drive back into Boston, I stopped by Sweet Tomatoes, and had a piece of pizza that was soggy, fell apart, and was simply not good. The counter help had no idea what was going on when I asked to speak to a manager, and quite honestly, I will never go back. I mean why do you go to a specialty pizza store? For good pizza..... this was certainly not that...
Fresh, thin, juicy – I love big slices of thin crust pizza with fresh ingredients. That is Sweet Tomatoes.
