Good food, pleasant service, space is very tight. I gave this establishment a thumbs down because of an incident that took place the morning of November 2, 2013. I and three friends, all large men, entered the restaurant. There were several available tables: Three two-seat tables in front by the window, two two-seat high tables in back, and a table for four along the side. We requested two of the tables in front, pushed together. The bartender, a younger man with dark brown hair, told us we could not sit there because those tables were reserved for groups of two. We were instead directed to two high tables in back, to be pushed together. We ultimately took the table for four on the side, but it was extremely tight because we are large guys. No sooner were we seated at our cramped table, but a party of four was allowed to sit exactly where we wanted to be seated. Apparently this establishment is not concerned with accommodating customers’ reasonable requests or their comfort.
Loved the Naked Boys! – Loved the show "Naked Boys Singing". They were all so sweet and charming on the street advertising the show and when the show began I was shocked at just how talented they all were. After the first song the nudity shock value wore off and they put on a hilarious show. The drinks were strong, the show was great, and my friends and I had a great time!
PS: Had seen the "Barenaked Lads" in the past and this show is a MILLION times better!
Not the best place for a New Years dinner !! – I'd like to start by saying that my girlfriend and I have been eating at the Post Office Cafe for 9 years. We actually met at the Post Office and it has been a cute way for us to celebrate New Years . We have always had a wonderful experience here except for this year! What a huge disapointment! From the minute we walked in the door we knew it was going to be a disaster. First , the waitress didnt come get us to seat us, she yelled at us to come down to her...near the kitchen entrance. When we sat down, she didnt take a drink order, she didn't do anything. We waited for a while, maybe 7-8 minutes before someone came by to ask us if we wanted a drink, we ordered but they didnt have what we ordered. I wanted a frozen drink and my girlfriend wanted a diet coke....they said they had neither. We decided on something else and waited for our drinks. We listened to people around us and realized that alot of things that were on the menu was no longer available. (mind you this is at 5:00 on sat, not yet New years) We had also been told by our"neighbors" that we had just missed a huge Drama Queen fight which seem to leave everyone of the wait staff misserable. We still at this point ,( about 20 minutes into this) had no one to call our own as a waiter. Finally some one took our order and I ordered the Chicken Piccata. What I got was a different story and no one cared or appologized for it. I got grilled sliced chicken on a bed of pasta with garlic and Olive Oil, not Chicken Piccata ! I still had to pay for the Piccata which was 16.95.Which I would never care about had it been what I wanted. No one ever came by and asked us if we wanted another drink, if everything was ok, if we wanted desert. The only other human contact we sort of had was the Bill tossed onto our table... i will say, it was the worst experience we have ever had there...we went to another restaurant for New years eve and found it to be wonderful. We now know there is life after the Post Office cafe!
