Best work done! – I took my grandmother into this place of business to buy a stove. The inviting staff were so personable and nice it was a welcoming feeling. They made us feel as if we had known them forever. They went through all our choices in stoves, and which were best for our home. The prices were right, and the installers were far beyond amazing with helping us, and describing how to use the stove properly. For the past years we ALWAYS get great chimney cleans, great prices, and awesome service. Even with calls of questions for them, we never waited on answers. I would highly suggest Ash Away Hearth & Chimney to anyone looking for stoves or cleanings!

Meet the company that never answers their phone! – Loved the salesman. Loved the installation crew. I HATE the fact that you can call any of their phone numbers and get the answering machine. We called and called over a few weeks and only once did they answer the phone. If business is that good, can't you hire someone to answer the phone and take a message. What happened to a business that cares about their customer enough to answer the phone? Thumbs down Ash Away. You lost my referral.

Friendly People, Professional Service. – I Purchased a Harman P61A from Ashaway, i LOVE it. upon entry of the store i was greeted by the emplyees very kindly. The owner, Bob Cabral, helped me in choosing my stove. i basically told him what i am looking for and right away he showed me a Harman. Bob helped me out big time by giving me a floor model with a very reasonable discount. that day i was schedualed in for an appointment for an installer to come out to install my stove. a couple weeks later, the installers, who by the way were very professionaly and polite, installed my stove. Ive been using the stove for 5 years, with my annual cleanings i havn't had a problem yet!

the best decision I ever made – I was skeptical when my wife suggested we buy a pellet stove. Her friend has one and they rave about it. We heat with propane and it is very expensive. We spent over $4000.00 and I was not sure. I listened to my lovely wife. I love it. we are saving at least $125 to $150 a month. Our house is at 72 degrees not our usual 64 degrees. I love the thing. I work outside all day and look foward to a warm house when I came home. Thanks ST. Croix and Ashaway.

The best price out there – I did allot of homework recently when I purchased a wood stove. Oil prices have cost me alot of $$$$$$$$$$

I went to all the stores in the area. There Install price was cheaper than anyone. They also gave me !0% off without even asking. I waited for my installation, but boy was it worth it . They did a wonderful job.

great prices – I bought a pellet stove 5 yrs ago. They service it every summer. Best prices on pellets. I like new england they burn good. I have tried others that have alot of ash. I l;ove my pellet stove. It is a Herman.

Not much help after purchase- go else where! – I bought a woodstove in 2006 for $1,700 and experienced back puffing shortly afterward. Ash Away suggested purchasing and installing their stainless steel liner for another $800 to correct the back puffing so I did. The back puffing continued and I continued to ask for a solutions which they could not provide. I recently called again (Sep 2010) and talked to Adam who was unable to provide solution so I figured I would visit the store with the hope of a solution to the back puffing. I made the trip to Ash Away (Oct 2010) and was told nobody could help me because everybody was in a meeting in the other room. I provided my name and number to the clerk who wrote it down saying somebody would get back to me. Nobody called back so I went to another business who was able to diagnose the back puffing to a clogged fountain asembly on the phone in 15 minutes. My stove now works fine with no thanks to Ash Away. Their customer service is the worse after purchase. Go else where!!!

Also during this time, I received a quote for door gaskets over the phone. My wife came home with the gaskets but was charged almost double what was quoted over the phone. I called for a refund on the difference and was told I would have to come back in for the difference. I argued that the dollar amount was not worth the drive and asked that a check be mail or credit to the charge card. They would not credit the difference unless we came back in so we ate that too. Again, stay clear of this place!!!

Disappointed – I purchased 2 gas inserts from Ashaway having spent over $6K. Having called 3 x and not receiving a return call; finally got through to an associate explained that I was looking to have some cleaning done on the stoves and asked Bob if he wld call me back. NEVER RECEIVED A FOLLOW UP CALL! Price associate quoted me was ridiculous. So much for customer service!!! I had recommended this company to a number of our family and friends. Rest assured I will do everything to inform them of Ashaway's poor service. I'm sorry I didn't review other bloggers before I made my purchases. BE AWARE!!!!!!
