Suit coming – Waiting to hear from "Scheduler" one month and counting.
A Great Store? – Ash Away may be a good store , even a great store, but after five calls for service , two of which involved actually speaking with someone , and still receiving no return call....this customer will never know.
I would like to say that we at Robert Street received a call from Bob, the owner of Ashway and he wanted to reconcile the difference after this long battle. We did reconcile the differences and will return to his store in the near future.
Poor Service – I went to Ashaway this Sunday around 3:00. There were some people in the store but not that busy. I was looking to get some info on a pellet stove. I did not even get a hello or smile from an associate. I waited about 10 minutes and left. As I was walking out another guy in the parking lot said he was leaving because no one helped him. On another note - I did like the trailer idea.
BOB YOUR THE BEST – This is Frank12 I forgot my pass word as I thought I would never return to the store . I would like everyone to know that Bob called me at the first of March about the pallet of pellets I purchased last August . I went to the store today and talked to Bob. We were able to resolve the issues over the pellets and I will be doing business with Bob again. I had originally purchased my stove at this store and my faith is restored in Bob as a professional . Also Bob informed me that they may be doing one ton bin deliveries next year . This is a process were you have a large bin in you garage or basement that holds one ton of pellets .The truck stops by your house and puts the pellets into the bin like insulation . Bobs got my vote.
A Humble letter from the owner – I am Robert cabral the owner of Ashaway. Granted ,We are far from perfect. I have a staff of over twenty. I wish that I could do all my business over 12 months instead of all in the last 3-4 months of the year. We would be in better position to be more effective with customer service. I would never intentionally screw over any customer. In Regards to the Greenwalts, they are very nice people. We try to Qoute as accurately as possible, it is impossible to be right on. Honestly more people are issued refunds for parts not used, than need to be billed. Mrs Greenwalt I have been trying to get to your house for over a year. Your bill could be wrong, You just will not let me look at the install again. I gave you a great discount and stand behind the product. I wish smoke'd would contact me at 5089935577, I would be very intrested in talking to you, I would like to find out more. (PART OF ME THINKS HE IS THE COMPETION ). As for COLD, It was a horrible year for getting stoves,Our main manufacturer HARMAN could not supply all the dealers adequatly. This effected more than just COLD, WE ended up giving more refunds than we should have. WE did not decieve COLD, we were just passing along info we got. Frank Haggerty,We did let you down with your pellets, I am sorry to let you down. ASHAWAY will replace any bad pellets you might have had gone bad. I left a messge on your machine today. We have been in Business for 16 yrs and strive to take care of them all. I want to thank all of the loyal customers who have stood by me thru all these years. there are many of you. It is you that have made us the Biggest dealer of stoves within 50 miles. It is you who desrves all the tropies in the back room. If anyone has a problem, please come to me before it gets this bad. I will usually try my best to work out any issues that you might have. It is impossible to make everyone happy, some people are just not happy people, I humbly recommit myself to All of MY CUSTOMERS, THANK_YOU
They just dont care!!!! – They always seem to busy with other things to help the customer. One time I walked around INSIDE the showroom/store and was alone for at least 15 mins. They had no idea I was even in the store. It's a shame because they sell good products. I know at least 10 people who burn wood pellet stoves. I've had mine about 4 years...they are somewhat new to pellet stoves. Im sorry i sent them to ashaway. more than half had problems. ...good thing all these new spots are opening up everywhere...that was the only leverage they had...
DONT BUY FROM - BOB - HE WILL RIP YOU OFF – In August of 2007 we bought a fireplace insert and a pellet stove. He could not install in untill October. Was okay with us. He then referred his Masonary to us and then the masonary order all the rock work. All the products were on hold for a month then the product was lost. The stove was finally done on januaray of 2008. Then i soon received a bill from "bob" stating there was wrong parts order and other parts needed and he billed be an addition 700 on top pf the 6k I already spent at his store. I called the day before the day of even spoke to him during the install never noted any other parts were needed. We are still battling this waiting for him to come to the house and explain the charges it has been almost 2years. I do not recomend going to his store. i was also told my others he charges you one price and always rebills you for more later.I really dont knwo anywhere where you can charge a customer one price then rebilled them 3 months later - if I have to this case will go to court.Terrible customer service. DONT BUY FROM HIM.....
Unforseen Delays – In the recent past, some stove manufacturing companies have unfortunately ran into a situation where the demand for stoves has increased tremendously, at times quadrupling expected orders. This has caused an unforeseen delay in customers obtaining their stoves. This situation should in no way reflect the professionalism that Ash Away Hearth & Chimney has displayed as a company in the last 16 years of business. Ash Away has tried to the best of its ability to keep customers informed of the status of their stove purchases as soon as we as company are informed by the manufacturers.At no point have we misled ANY customerswith any information regarding their stove/installations. All customers HAVE BEEN offered their FULL refund immediately without question!
