Rip off DENTIST!!! – Like to over charge for treatments! Be careful! Always have 2 or 3 dentist opinions.

Do Not Use Carmel Plaza Dental! – Dangerous dentist to go to. Yes...like everyone else, I went through their sales pitch...full scull x-ray, tooth whitening, etc., etc.

Where it got into malpractice for me was when they told me I had gum disease and huge pockets all over the place. They put me on every-three-months and sold me into gum injections that cost hundreds of dollars each visit. After 3 of said visits, I got weary of the scare tactics and went to another dentist. Guess what...he said no pockets, no gum disease and that the other guy was using scare tactics to milk money from me. Disgusting.

do NOT go here. listen to everybody else! – This company needs to be shut down. Like everyone else said, they give you unneeded procedures and take your money. My experience was in 2006 but after seeing all these reviews I decided I need to share my experience! The year before I went to this office, I went to a different dentist, had x-rays, not a single cavity. Prior to this I'd only had 1 cavity in my entire life. A year later, I went to this Carmel Plaza Dental, to be told that I had EIGHT cavities. EIGHT. I was shocked, but they had all sorts of excuses for why I could suddenly get 8 cavities without that sort of history. So, I had all eight filled, paid about $800 out of pocket to that office. I was skeptical, but didn't think a dental office would be taking advantage in that way.

After that, I was scared to go back to ANY dentist out of fear of having so many cavities again (yes, dumb) - so I didn't go for 2 years. 2 years later I went to a new dentist... after 2 years of no professional dental care... I had ZERO cavities. Despite this being so long ago, I really want to take my old xrays into my current dentist and have them tell me if there were in fact 8 cavities there.

Not to mention, the "cavities" they filled - the work was shoddy and I had to have several of them re-done less than 2 years later.

STAY AWAY. THIS BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN! Do dentists have to take the hippocratic oath? If so I would imagine they are breaking it and need to have their licenses taken away.

Avoid! – This place is 99% profit oriented. I just walked in for a cleaning and they tried to force a whole series of x-rays. I agreed to have x-rays of my teeth taken, but when they wanted an additional set of my skull area ("to possibly find a tumor") I declined. Even though I'm 100% insured, radiation to the head is no fun and in this case not warranted. Once I declined they said they can't continue with my cleaning and pretty much kicked me out. So, if you don't play by their money-making rules you're no use to them I guess. What happened to the medical profession here in the States? How sad.‎

scam dentist - I agree – I've read the other reviews - it is an office that looks nice, is prompt and the people are very conversant. However, they totally scam you with unneeded procedures. Then the quality of their work is absolutely terrible - embarrassing. I had to go to another dentist to fix their work and that dentist was appalled the person who had worked on my teeth could even call themselves a dentist. Said dentists like that were giving all dentists a bad name. The second dentist also saw no reason why I had had to have that work done in the first place. Stay away from this office or at least have a second opinion before you let them do anything - then you'll know the truth.

Scam – Watch out they will recommend/scare you into un-needed treatments that your insurance will not cover. They are all about up selling. Don't bother going there....scammers.

Been going there for 3 years – I started going there as a referral from someone I had worked with over 3 years ago now. I knew that something was wrong with my teeth and how sensitive they are. Not to mention that it looked like I was getting some discoloration and I was on teeth whiteners!

I warned them out right that I hadn't had good experiences with Dentists in the past and was very skeptical of them in general.

They have corrected all of my problem teeth and even corrected the discoloration that was caused by my enamel wearing thin. I am so happy with their work and treat you. They are also helpful and willing to work with you for payments. and being a Military wife that is SO very helpful.

I actually read your review before going there and I was a little reluctant. But when I went in I was greeted by such a nice and welcoming staff. Also every staff member that I saw and talked to was nice and respectful. The best part about this place is that they explained to me what they were doing and how they would do it and how it would benefit me. No other dentist that I have been too has helped me understand and feel as comfortable as they have. Also they have new dentists your comment is very outdated.

Trust this place like you trust a sleazy auto repair shop! – I recently had to go to this dentist because my dental coverage was changed. I had 4 cavities before I came to this place. They diagnosed me with over 14 cavities over the last year with a need for 2 root canals.

I saw two other dentists and they both were appalled. Both dentists said that multiple cavities weren't there (they looked at the x-rays and checked inside my mouth).

Now, I am no expert, but I know when I am being taken advantage of. These people are stealing from the blind.

Do not go here if you get the chance. They give you free travel sized tooth paste, but that's about the only good thing.
