Amazing Experience finding my perfect wedding gown – Second time customer and I have nothing but positive things to say. I was just in a friends wedding and had a little weight issue, but it was no issue for Cameo. They welcomed me back with open arms and I can not thank both Ms.Gina and their seamstress (by the way is amazing and anyone who says otherwise must have personal issues) did a perfect job for me. No one could even tell I had the dress made much larger. I will go back and again recommend this shop to all of my friends. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, THE BEST. Lovie
I've been to probably like 6 or 7 stores now, and Cameo Bridal was the first store I came to where I didn't feel pressured to buy FROM THEM specifically. I walked in on a Monday, no appointment, and my party was greeted warmly - no issue for the lack of appointment - and then she went right to work. Other people have been nice, but I definitely felt like they all have wanted to sell me one of their dresses instead of finding what's right for me. Very understandable from a business standpoint, but not what I want in customer service. She (the manager helped me) was quick, efficient, very helpful, and emphasized that the right dress for me was most important, and that she knew I didn't necessarily see "my" dress there just by my reactions. She didn't try to "sell" me on things I was iffy on. Other stores always try to avoid my questions about dresses they don't have, and make excuses or say "oh but this dress is practically the same!" and seem to try to avoid giving me the names or numbers of the dresses. I didn't have any issues with any of that here, and she even offered that if I found a dress elsewhere, to let her know and she could probably order it for me and try to give me a better price. She was so helpful that no matter where I find my dress, I will call her, because again, this was the only store I've been to yet that really seemed to be about the right dress and not necessarily their dress. I'm picky, but she totally didn't mind that I didn't like certain aspects of certain dresses. Before I left she also said that she had a really good idea of what I liked, and that they were getting about 80 more dresses this season and if I wanted I could leave my phone number/email and she'd contact me if she saw something else that she thinks I would like. She also let me try on the dresses my way... by that I mean that most people "have" to be in the fitting room with me, which is uncomfortable for me and I don't like it. But she would undo the backs and hand the dresses to me from the outside of the room and let me put it on myself until I was ready to be laced/zipped up. It was just a lot more comfortable.
All in all, it was an excellent experience for me and I'd definitely recommend the store to anyone looking for a wedding gown (they also had a nice selection of bridesmaid dresses).
Worst Customer Service Ever – Horrible experience with this shop!!! My friend and I made appointments to come get measured and order bridesmaid dresses for a wedding we were in. I called twice to confirm and when we showed up (during business hours) the shop was closed. We had driven 20+ miles in traffic to get there and they closed the shop without notifying us!!!! When we called the next day there was no apology, we were told that things came up with the person who was suppose to be there. Worst customer service ever!!! Do not go here if you expect any sort of help or if you even want the place to be open when you arrive, what a waste. The owner was also very disorganized, logged everything by hand, no computer database. Even if we had made the appointment I would have been nervous about the orders actually coming through. She didn't even know what the price of the dress was, she had to ask me what other places charged, very unprofessional!!!
A Wonderful Experience! – If I could give Cameo Bridal 15 Stars, I would! Not only did they give my daughter the dream experience of the perfect bridal gown (I could go on forever about that), but they did the same for me, a mother-of-the-bride who had no idea what I wanted, what would look fabulous or any other clue to all of this. I put myself in their hands after seeing how wonderful they were with my daughter. They gave me a large number of gowns to try on and I must say that I loved them all (except one). Well, guess which one I ultimately chose? Yep, the one that I would have passed right by on the hanger. It's a good thing that EVERY person working there has a better eye that I do. It was perfect! The patience they showed and the intangables that we can't even count were something I'll never forget and will always be grateful for. There are no words to truly tell you how wonderful this experience was!
Great Overall Experience – I LOVE Cameo Bridal Salon! I recently Bought my wedding dress from them! My experience was exceptional and i dont understand why people put negative remarks about the store on here. i must say after reading some of the things on here i alomost didnt even want to waste my time! but i went in anyways and everyone was so nice and helpful! After spending about 30 minutes hopping in and out of dresses i found THE ONE! All of the sales associates complimented me on how amazing i looked in the dress and completely boosted my moral! I paid for my deposit because they dont require full payments instead they offered me a payment plan which helps considering todays economy! My dress came in before i knew it and the alterations were low cost and done to perfection! they all got all my bridesmaids dresses in and out on time! I would highly recommend Cameo Bridal Salon to anyone and everyone who needs dresses for an occasion! Thank You to Gina, Heather, and Michelle for everything you did to see to it my day was as stress free!!!!! you guys are amazing!
Rude Rude Rude and Absolutely No Help – My sister found the perfect dress there, but the sales representative made it a horrible experience. She didn't know who the designer was and didn't seem to know the difference between a style name and a designer. She sent us home with some numbers listed on a torn off piece of paper and the word signature. After searching online forever to try and find out the designer, we realized this lady had us running a wild goose chase and we were getting no where. I called the salon and asked who the designer was, I said I would hold while she looked up all of the numbers from that piece of paper, and could tell me the designer. I very politely told her that I was dissatisfied with the service I had previously received. Instead of trying to help me, she said maybe I should find another salon. I think I will. If you want an enjoyable wedding dress shopping experience, try anywhere but here.
Cameo Bridal was Great! – Someone recommended me to Cameo Bridal, so I went hoping to find my perfect dress. Guess what, I did and I want everyone to know what a great experience I had. The entire staff were great, especially Gina. She knows her stuff and is so sincere. They have a huge inventory in their back room and if you can't find your perfect dress there, than you are crazy. I did not even go any where else because I felt confident in the shop and my choice. If you want service, selection, and a great experience, try Cameo Bridal . They just moved across the parking lot from where they were at LaFontaine Bleue. It really is a great place. Thanks Cameo!
A Little Disappointed with this Place – I got married about a month ago and purchased my wedding dress from Cameo. The women there were always nice and pleasant to deal with and overall my dress was beautiful. However, there were the things that disappointed me: initially when my dress came in, I asked for a ballpark quote on alterations. The woman on the phone told me it would not be more than $200. When I went there and had my 1st fitting, they wrote me up for $275 - ok, no biggie. When I went back for my 2nd fitting 2 weeks before my wedding, it still wasn't right. Now I don't know if it was their fault or my body changed in that time or what, but it ended up costing me more money for a total of $338 in alterations. I have NEVER heard of a bride paying that much for alternations. Additionally, I had the stress of not knowing if my dress would be altered properly in time for my wedding (which was out of town). It all worked out and my dress fit perfectly and was ready in time, but I felt as though they had taken advantage of me and ripped me off. Also, the bustle was worthless - fell out all night during my reception. I would say it's ok to order your dress through this bridal salon, but go elsewhere for alterations.
Horrible customer service, rude rude rude – I am a bride who is having a short engagement, and am new to the area in which I'm locating wedding resources. Therefore it is very helpful to make phone calls before driving all over wasting my time going to places that don't have what I need. I've tried to call Cameo ii multiple times regarding simple questions like what designers and colors they carry. I've even found designers and dresses that I liked that even if they didn't carry the specific dress they could have very easily ordered it. EVERY time I've called the women on the phone have been very rude, and condescending, huffing on the phone when I ask them to look up a style or price for me. Once when I called to see if they had a specific color in a designer that I was interested in, in stock so I could see the "bigger picture" instead of looking at a one inch swatch, they didn't even make an effort to check their inventory, and rudely told me to order a 6 inch swatch from the designer. Why would I spend $30 + on multiple color swatches, when they have the exact color and fabric that I'm looking for and I can see the color, large, on a dress, instead of a tiny fabric swatch?!?
On top of all of that, because I am having a short engagement, I'm already pushing the time limit it will take to order and get my dresses in before my wedding. I'm trying to get my bridesmaid dresses ordered today or tomorrow, and have bridesmaids scattered across the country. I need to get an exact price of what the dress will cost to let all my bridesmaids know so that they can plan accordingly. So today when I called them, they took all the information that they needed, my name and number included, and said they'd call me back with an amount. That was 3 hours ago, and when I just called back to check up on the status of my question, they gave me a price range of about $120-$200. When I asked for a specific price to give to my wedding party, they then informed me that the don't give exact prices over the phone because of misunderstandings. (funny, because everywhere else will give you and exact price over the phone) It took all I had to remain calm, after how much of my time they've wasted, and how rude they've been. They never offer a solution, they just add to my stress. I have never actually done business with them and I never intend to.
Worst Experience EVER. – I am a bridesmaid who is pregnant. We went in to order dresses and I kept saying over and over how I am pregnant and needed to be fitted extra big for the dress to accomodate my growing frame. We specifically made it clear that I am due the same week as the wedding so I will be HUGE. The lady took out the measuring tape and measured ONLY my ribcage and brought it out about 2 inches. I told her that seemed really small. She kept saying "Oh no, you'll be fine". Again I kept telling her I was going to get ALOT bigger and she said "No, trust me this is how we measure all pregnant bridesmaids. We'll just go up 2 sizes from your normal measurements." Again I said "I don't think 2 sizes is enough, maybe we should do more, I can always take it in." And again she blew it off and said "Nah you'll be fine."
So she scribbled down a size on the order and wrote "customer is with child" and I paid for the order.
Last night I went to pick up the dress. After the 2 clueless old ladies finally located the dress (we had to tell them my name 5 or 6 times) I went to try it on. Guess what?? It didn't fit!! It wouldn't zip, and I still have a month and a half of growing to do.
Let me also add in at this point that I am not a big girl. I am normally about a size 4-5. I have only put on a "normal" amount of preggo weight. So this was not due to a total donut binge.
So the ladies are all like "hmmm, I don't know if this will work. Maybe if you don't gain any more weight."
What the HELL???
So then they told me to take off the dress and see if there was enough fabric to let it out. Guess what? No fabric to let out. So I told them to order another dress. The told me that it would not arrive in time for the wedding. Even if I wanted to "attempt" to order a new one they would make me pay for an additional dress. So I said "You won't order a new dress, this one doesn't fit. So what am I supposed to do?" The lady just shrugged.
The bride was p*ssed. She said "just give us the dress and we'll find someone who will make it work somehow by adding a sash or something in the back."
So I was up at the counter and the lady said "you should have ordered a bigger size." I told her as calmly as I could that I was the one who wanted a bigger size. She told me "It says on your order form you requested this size. See, they never even took measurements you just told them that size." At that point I said "NO, she measured my ribcage and said I'd be fine. I NEVER told her ANY size to order. The woman who MEASURED me is right there helping that other bride. I TOLD her to go bigger and she blew me off and told me I'd be fine. It even says on my order right there that I am with child...see, it is written on the receipt" The lady just said "Oh" and continued to fill out the receipt. Again I said "I never requested this size. They knew when the wedding was, and I said I was due the same week so make sure to measure me extra extra big. I was blown off and told this would be fine. Now you are doing nothing."
I'm just a bridesmaid. I will make it work somehow. But BRIDES, seriously don't risk effing up your wedding dress with these losers. If they screw up, they will do NOTHING to fix it. Seriously. They didn't listen to my request, they blew me off, the dress was wrong, they blamed it on me, said another one couldn't be ordered, didn't offer suggestions or any help whatsoever, then again tried to blame it on me.
