DON'T GO! Over priced, mediocre food. – First of all, they can't even make a simple "Iced Tea" taste good. It tasted like water. An waitress who surved us (family of 4) kept calling my husband, "Dad". I thought it was inappropriate. The food had too much seasonings and they were just over priced. We will never go back there.
Good Food but you may get a piece of hair in your Crab Cake!!! – I visited Shula's for lunch one day, for the very first time and deeply anticipating my experience. I ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich with smashed potatoes. I was very hungry and the food didn't take long to come. Instantly, I start to eat my Crab Cake and I get into my fouth bite or so and notice a long string of hair (different color from mine) in the middle of my food. It grossed me out so bad that I lost my appetite. The waiter notified the Manager that then apologized and removed the contaminated food from my table. She then offered to take the dish off my bill and give me something else. My stomach was a bit upset so I declined the food. I was shocked most of all and grateful that I hadn't eaten the hair but I think at such a nice restaurant this shouldn't happen. A drink I had was $15.00 yet I had a piece of hair in my food that could have been prevented with the use of an hair net. I would have loved to had re visited and recommend this restaurant to others because the food was good but Sanitation is far more important than just taste and this experience is very upsetting.

The chop house's elegance is indisputable, yet there is an oddly casual spirit to a place in which the menu is written on a football and set at your table on a kicking tee. Certified Angus Beef doesn't come cheap, and the sides are priced a la carte, but the nationally renowned steakhouse always finds a way to make the cut for those willing to pay for quality.
DON'T GO! Poor service, mediocre food. – Our party of 8 dined at Shula?s 2 (the sports bar & grill style casual restaurant opposite Shula?s Steak House) on Tuesday August 12, 2008 before an event 2 blocks away at First Mariner Arena. Reservations were at 5:30 and our show was at 7. The profusely sweating waiter took pains to make us go around the table starting with the person on his left first for drink and then for food orders. Anyone making a change out of turn created big confusion. When he came (15 minutes later!) with our drinks he almost spilled the tray on us, then proceeded to have 2 people in our party pass them out (?so why bother asking for the order so precisely?). Forty minutes after ordering when we requested assistance from the manager, he responded that a lot of people were trying to get to the theater. When the food arrived shortly thereafter, salads and sides were missing and some dishes were given to the wrong person. Many of the dishes were not placed in front of but were handed to a person ? actually the waiter would hold it in suspension above the table until someone noticed and took it from him. The food was satisfactory, if you consider overdressed salad and dried out hamburger buns okay.
This place should be ashamed of itself. There is no appearance of any pride in the place or its workers. Because of its proximity to First Mariner (and many other destinations, including the Sheraton in which it resides) and a lack of other nearby establishments, they have a captive audience. Instead of taking some pride in the Shula name and in hometown Baltimore, these guys have a mediocre place with passable food, poor acoustics, and outdated TVs (2 of which were mounted directly above our heads). One member of our party who because of logistics, has had to hold a number of business meals here and at sister establishment Shula?s Steak House, confirmed that our experience was typical of Shula?s. Baltimore has scores of fabulous restaurants ? don?t perpetuate the mediocrity by eating here!
Shulas Steak House - Sheraton – Mediocre food, high prices and an inept wait staff. This is the worst steak house I've ever eaten at, and a waste of money. There are far better steakhouses in Baltimore to visit.
Fantastic Restauraunt – My wife and I eat at Shula's any chance we get. My first experience with Shula's was in November of 2004. I was taken there for my birthday by my now wife. The aviance was incredible. I ordered the surf and turf. I am not a big lobster eater but when I received it , it was outstanding. Cooked just right for me. The petite Filet Migon was also cooked just right. The waitress even had a small light and asked me to cut into the steak to make sure that it was to my likeing. My wife had the lamb chops with the mint butter and spinach and she could not stop talking about it. We have been going back about five times a year, on occasions and just to go and have a good evening out. The dress code could be enforced a little more. While we were there, some people came in wearing sneakers and sport shirts(Team jerseys) of sport teams. The aviance is very conducive for romance. Low lights fill out the room. The food as I stated above is out of this world. It is even better then Ruth Chris's (yes,I've been there also). The steaks are aged well and you can, from wherever you are in the restauraunt, see it being cooked. I highly recommend this restauraunt to everyone that may be staying in Baltimore or for the people that already live here. It is a very nice and pleasant experience. As for the staff, I have never found any looks nor sounds of anyone talking condescendingly to us. We have been going so much that we are on first name bases with the staff. It is nice when the maitr'd Comes to your table and speaks to you by first names. Enough said. Go and have a great time.
Too much! – The food was fantastic, but I found the staff rather condescending. Even though they knew we had theater tickets, and mentioned it several times, our food still came out long after that of tables who ordered after us. But the main disappointment was the portion sizes - they're way TOO BIG! The smallest steak portion on the menu was a 12 oz filet; this is definitely a place for big guys, not theater-going women with reasonable appetites.
Absolute Perfection – My wife and I vacationed in Baltimore this past Summer and stayed at the Wyndham Baltimore Inner Harbor. While there we dined at Shula's Steak House and found it to be wonderful. The service, the ambience, and the food was splendid.
It made for a very relaxing dining experience with outstanding steak.
We both had the filet mignon which was so cooked to perfection that a knife was hardley needed to cut it.
Kudos to the Staff, Management, and to Don Shula for a delightful dining experience
Excellent food, excellent service – A very nice resturant with a great theme if your a football fan and great food whether you like football or not. Best steak I have had in many years.
