A PLACE WITH ODDLES OF PERSONALITY – THE PAPERMOON SITS JUST BLOCKS AWAY FROM JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY. THEY HAVE SOME OF THE MOST ECCLECTIC DECOR IN THE BALTIMORE METRO AREA. ANOTHER INTERESTING FEATURE IS THE ONLY WHOLE NUMBERS MENU. THEY GET AN A FOR AMBIENCE. THEY ALSO HAVE A GOOD SELECTION AND CATER WELL TO VEGETARIANS AND HEALTH FOOD EATERS. ALL THAT SAID,,, THE PRICES COULD USE SOME WORK. THEY ARE A TAD PRICEY FOR A LITTLE JOINT.
yumyummoon – Entertaining atmosphere, great comfort food without being boring and predictable, creative cooking, delicious results! friendly service but not intrusive. Great for ALL ages!! and great for any occasion!
The best! – The papermoon diner is absolutely fabulous! It's open 24(I think, or its open really late). I love the service, beacause as the menu says, "the person that takes your order, may not bring your food ...." You can ask anyone to do anything. Also their bread pudding(with ice cream) will make you holla!
Pretentious BS – Pretentious sums it up in one word. I don't know what made the atmosphere worse...the extremely rude seating host and snotty wait staff or the surly, chain smoking, coffee slurping, art school slackers that hung out there. The food was crap and so was the atmosphere. I can't believe I was talked into walking a mile to that dump.
Up in Flames – We tried this place on the recommendation of friends but we were totally disappointed. The menu is boring, the food is less than average, and the decor is tacky, not funky. If you're looking for good diner atmosphere head to Cafe Hon or Blue Moon, heck, head to IHOP as an alternative.
Ecelctic and creative – The food is as wonderful as the surroundings. So the service is simply fair but the crew is constantly hoofing it. The menu is AWESOME for the non-meat eater as well as for those who consider themselves carnivores. The cuisine is fabulously creative. I recommend an avocado, portabello and swiss cheese omlette, the salmon eggs benedict with tomato, or really anything on the menu. Please do yourself a favor and have an espresso milkshake. What a way to start your day.
More hype than substance – I love the deco, love the food but the service here...well, it isn't service. You will wait and wait and wait for your order to be taken, your order to be served, your check at the end of the meal. We used to love coming here late night but gave up because of the service.
EAT HERE. – Papermoon Diner is a fantastic place to entertain yourself. The moment you step in, its like you've traveled to another alien-planet. Food is good and staff are very friendly. Great attractions on the walls :)
great hang to hang out4 coffee – THE ABSOLUT BEST BY FAR! They are open all night and the food is great and not a lot of money plus they have a great menu for non meat and non pork eaters!
Kitchy – This is a great little restaurant. There's so much eye candy everywhere. Plus the food there is great, cheap, and you get loads of it. It's a fun little place. I recomend it to anyone with a sense of humor.
