I can't say enough about how great this store is. They have what appears to be every speaker and amp you would ever want along with a great staff. What shocked me most was how much less the high end speakers were here then at best buy. I decided to spend my 450$ here because it got me more then it would have anywhere else. Plain and simple
My experience was similar to Jeffrey c's. The sales people were truly assholes, demeaning, and I would never set foot in there again. They lied to me as well on their quote, and tried to jack it up around 50% when it was time to do the work. My advice is to go elsewhere.
Bill Bartlett (Happy Customer) – I had been looking for a new Double-Din touch screen receiver for my Ford F250 Lariat weeks before Christmas.. I called Poptronics and worked out a great deal over the phone! They made suggestions gave me time to explore my options, and the end result was awesome! I'm very pleased with the counter service & tech that did my install! Very professional! I also sent my employer there to have a drop-down DVD player installed in his truck and not only was he pleased, he says his grand-daughter loves watching her Disney movies while she rides with her "pop-pop"! Thanks Guys! I'll be seeing you all soon... Thinking about a drop-down DVD for my truck!
excellent Service – Wow, reading the latest reveiw, I can't believe I was at the same store.
Just before Christmas I was treating myself to a gift of a new stereo system for a new car I purchased a year ago. I admit as a woman I know absolutely nothing about cars other then driving them and keeping it clean...lol! So, I spoke to Frank who was also the gentleman that helped me and he was very friendly, laughed a lot....lol....and he explained things in terms I would understand, and not in a demeaning manner either which was greatly appreciated. We picked out something in my price range but was pretty upscale still as well. I also had it installed which was going to take 4hrs to do, that I was a little upset about, but Frank told me where I could go to get a bite to eat and a coffee place to drink and work on my laptop while I wait. Which I thought was extremely conciderate and thoughtful. When my car was done, Frank actually walked over to the coffee place and got me. When I looked at my car it was spotless, no mess of the installation, it was almost like I never had it done...car mechanics arn't even that neat...lol. I thanked Frank and his team for the great work they did, and I will certainly come back if I want to do anything else to my little car...lol. Thank you Poptronics for a wonderful experience. I know most customers don't comment on just good customer service and I felt as a customer of your store to post how my experience was. Just because one person didn't get their perfect experience doesn't mean they employees and the business isn't good, My experience was beyond great and I hope anyone looking for a car stero store sees this and goes to your store. thank you!
very bad customer service at both locations – these Ass holes have very poor customer service at both locations. i purchased an amp from an ass hole by the name of Frank at the parkville location 12/21/11. i then called a few weeks later and made an appointment with Frank to have the same amp installed along with a single din radio, and component speakers. he quoted me a price to have it all installed. i asked him to right the prices down along with my appointment, so he did. when i came for my appointment the price jumped $125.00. i then asked him to refer back to the appointment book to look at the price quoted, he did and stated that price was for a sub amp, not a 5 channel. i told him what amp i had, and reminded him that he sold me the amp when i made the appointment. even though he wrote the price down he would not honor it. i then called the downtown store and spoke with David, after he spoke to Frank he said that i could get a refund. i get there and i ask for david and some fat ass asked could he help. i then explain what happened to him and he would not give me a refund. he tries to force me to let them do the install at a discounted price, i say no i just want the refund that i was promissed. he then says he will refund it minus 20% of what i paid (no dont think so). Buyers please be aware of both locations. Very pooooooooooooooor customer service
DJ EQUIPMENT – NOT MANY LOCAL PLACES OFFER WHAT THEY CAN. THEY ALSO HAD A BOOTH AT THE PATAPSCO FLEA MARKET, WHICH IS WHERE I WAS FIRST INTRODUCED TO THEM.
