WORST DINNER EVER – We paid $66.-- for a party of two for two canned soup, a defrozen pizza that I will never buy again and a pasta + shrimps that was just disgusting. Asked for an Amstel beer and got a "light" one. No regular one available. Well ! Attracted by the ship-shaped restaurant and the fact that there were open late (9:45pm) but highly disappointed by the food.
Come ON – The flavors were good, But was looking for more since this is a ship at sea. Needs more seafood options. but over all the food was good. Would return if the menu had seafood to offer instead of just sitting in a ship
Worst Service and Manager EVER! – We were here for our anniversary and excited to take my parents out to eat. We ordered cream of crab soup for an appetizer which was good, but it made me sick. I let the waiter know I was not feeling well from the soup and that I did not want my meal. The manager came over and told me that I was not sick but that I had filled myself up on bread and soup and now I did not want my meal. He said he was going to bring it out anyway. They not only put a meal in front of me anyway, but the wrong meal. Then they insisted that was what I ordered even after I showed them in the menu what I ordered. The manager yanked the plate away and said "Fine I'll take it off, this is what you want!" He stormed away. My whole family felt nauseated after eating here.
We will never return!
Do not eat here!
This Ship has Sailed or Should Anyway – An Honest Review...The food was "okay." The portion sizes, however, were great. The restaurant itself, although a little dated was very cool inside. If you want a night out then I suggest you try this place. If you have a group larger than 3 and need to pay separately, DO NOT go to this restaurant. Here is my beef with this place and the reason why I have decided to write my first review ever. Our group spent over 800 dollars here. They would not do it on separate bills which we agreed was "okay." They said we could put it on separate cards though. When it came time to do this, however, the captain himself proved to be a real pain and his first officer was not much better. You think she would be a little nicer. Yes it was a pain to run 10 credit cards and it took 10 minutes but she was getting a tip for over a 100 dollars. Not only that, there was only about 7 other people in the entire place so our group of 18 should have been welcomed. Most of the waitresses I must say were very nice. If the captain was forced to walk the plank this place would be much better. Don't expect the food to be any better than Red Lobster. In fact Red Lobster is probably better and their staff has always been far more pleasant. We will never go here again but if your group is considering it I suggest you request seperate tables, order your food and then move your tables together. Probably what we should have done which would have filled every table in the place with one person at each.
Terrific Lunch – Party of 4 seated promptly for lunch and with friendly attitude. Great food and reasonable prices. Here's what we had: Cream of Crab soup - really nice, lots of meat. Maryland Crab Soup (red) - also good. House Specialty Crab cake sandwiches - huge lumps of meat and little filler. Great taste. Fried Softshell Crab - OK. Not bad just a bit too heavy on the cornmeal coating. Tasty but a thinner coating would be better. Good service, too.
Whats all the hype for?? – Food is okay, service is okay. Lets keep in mind, just because its shaped like a ship does not mean it has the best seafood!! Plenty of other places around the neighborhood that offer better quality for way less.
Find cheap eats and a boatload of atmosphere at this eccentric Baltimore eatery. – In Short
Families and a late-night, Fell's Point crowd fill the hull of this former cargo vessel turned novelty restaurant. Like any good ships galley, they serve their hungry crew everything from chipped beef and hot roast beef with gravy to pork chops, all day and all night. The real draw, however, are the crabs. Order them by the dozen or try the all-you-can-eat extravaganza at their crab deck across the street.
Outstanding! – The food, the service, the management, the value... all outstanding!
