Not for younger couples. My boyfriend and I went to Northwoods hoping for something elegant and romantic. As much as we appreciate great food, we both feel that atmosphere and ambience are equally important. Fortunately, the food was pretty good. Unfortunately, the setting was not. We were seated much too closely to the surrounding tables and the lights were far too bright! It felt neither romantic nor elegant. We were especially dissatisfied when we were I.D.ed after ordering a half bottle of white wine. We are both 23 and felt put out and downright embarrassed about being i.d.'ed at a "fancy" restaurant.

I would not go to Northwoods again. However, if you are someone who is not concerned about atmosphere, and are looking for good service and a tasty meal--you should try it.

BEST in Annapolis. This is the best restaurant in Annapolis - for food, for service, and FOR PRICE (except Saturdays) - its a FIXED price 6 nites a week (about $32 per person for the food), and you get to order off the main menu! The Master Chef (YES, he IS a Master Chef) tops the quality list for Mayland -- if you wish to impress your family, your business associate, or a co-worker: do it at Northwoods (just don't tell them how little you actually spent!!)
