Made me feel so comfortable. I walked it on a Sunday and had a wonderful experience. I gave her a small description of what I wanted and she took off with it. I love my new hair. Did exactly what I wanted.

They took me right in and make me very comfortable to be there. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly.

only salon i go to!. I only get my hair cut twice a year and it's gotta be here. Lydia is the absolute best!

The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming, and the people are always very helpful. I love getting suggestions about what to do with my hair (for problems or for fun!), and Lydia is so knowledgeable!

The prices are also totally reasonable. New You is great, don't hesitate to go!

Ouch!. I certainly agree with the many positive comments about the staff at the New You Salon. I have always been extremely satisfied with my cut and color from Kathy. I've been going to her for so many years that she even asks about my family as she works. (Does she have a psychology degree, too?)

I certainly can't agree with the "wax reviewer". When Kelsey does my brows, she is always gentle, careful, and accurate. In other hands, brow waxing can be a painful procedure, but with Kelsey it's a relaxing experience.

This salon is a great community asset. One always feels welcomed, pampered, and quite satisfied after a visit to the New You family.

Have you even been stopped and asked who cuts your hair?. People stop me all the time to ask me where do I get my hair cut.

"A New You" Salon says it all.

Doug cuts my hair and has for the past 12 years. He actually listens to my requests ~ he is very professional and nice to be around! I never have to "get used" to my cut - and I always feel awesome when I leave the shop. Prices are reasonable too.

Everyone in the salon is very friendly ~ I instantly feel welcome upon entering. The owners Kathy and Kris ROCK!

I recently hosted a bridal shower at "The New You." It was a lot of fun and really different. We all had our hair styled by Kathy & Kris and make up done by Kate & Kelsey. Their attention to detail is amazing ~ they have an "eye" for just the right shade & style. it was a wonderful way for my "new" daughter-in-law to mingle & get to know family & friends.

I also tried an eyelash tinting with Kelsey... incredibly fun and a great experience. And again reasonable!

My nails have never looked so good after Larissa gets done with them - acrylics are awesome!

So if you are looking for "A New You" ... stop by and take a chance... you wont be disappointed!

BEST SALON IN THE DETROIT METRO AREA!. Doug is THE BEST hairdresser in the metro Detroit area for sure! I am VERY particular and I have been going to him for the past 21 years! His cuts and color are amazing and his prices are the most reasonable around! He takes time with you and NEVER rushes! And he can accomodate anyones schedule! My daughter and most of my friends go to him as well! He will never be able to retire, at least NOT unless I go bald or am gone! ; ) KELSEY is AWESOME - I have 'no eyes' when I don't have mascara on as I have white/blonde eyelashes! Kelsey can tint your eyelashes and make your eyes look AMAZING even when you just roll out of bed! Went elsewhere for a long time and Kelsey is FAR superior to anyone else in the area! Very gentle and reasonable! CARRIE is the best manicurist around as well! Great prices and SO thorough and knowledgeable! And her pedicures are to die for! Overall, the NEW YOU SALON is an AWESOME salon and I will never go anywhere else! Why when they do it ALL!! I consider ALL the staff part of my extended 'family' and I have been known to just drop by and just hang out for a bit! That's what 40 Years in business does for a salon! I LOVE YOU ALL!

Awesome Salon, Great Atmosphere. I am new to the area, and have been looking for a salon for a little while. The New You has an excellent staff, all of whom are friendly and willing to help with anything. I felt like I had been a client for years there, and the prices (for Birmingham, especially) were so reasonable! I can't wait for my next appointment!

Great place full of "Normal" people!. WOW what a super friendly place. I'm somone who tries everything at least once and this place I keep coming back for more.

I first started coming for hair product. They have EVERYTHING and if there is something they do not have they will order it. I ordered a large size of the shampoo I use and they had it in the salon in 2 days. Even when my sister came into town they got her products they usually do not carry. She forgot the hairspray she liked and they where the only one that offered to get it for her. It was even cheaper than what she pays at her salon back in Arizona.

I have floated around the salon for my color and cuts , since I have a weird schedual. Never once have they turned my down. Even on a Sunday it was no problem. The staff is full of just wonderfully talented and caring people. My cut and color has looked great everytime, no matter whom has done it.

They all make you feel like you are part of there family. Like they would do just about anything, Lindsay even went out to my car and removed all the snow so I didn't mess up my hair.

Really I could not say enough good things about the New You Salon!

Worst eyebrow waxer in the metro area. My husband regularly gets his eyebrows waxed and went to A New You Salon where the waxer on staff 9/26/09 completely butchered his eyebrow. She took it off half the eyebrow, leaving a huge uneven gap between his eyes - a clear and obvious mistake she did not acknowledge. I got my hair done there several years ago, but after the owner splashed color all over my face as she was doing my hair, I never went back. Only go here if you do not care about your appearance.

Best Find in Birmingham!!. An Outstanding Salon. Kelly Kaiser squeezed me in last minute, and my hair has never looked better!! They have an excellent selection of products, and have helped me find my NEW ME. Thank you Kelly!!!
