One word.......PETER!! He is the absolute most amazing hair dresser. I have been following him for over 10 years. If I could give him 10 stars I would. He is a master at hair and such a professional with an amazing talent. Peter is the one to visit @ Emile Salon.

See Alex ASAP. I just started going to Emile and I love it! As an African American, I have had a hard time finding great stylist but this salon caters to everyone. I went to Alex and she did a wonderful job. I was not only impressed with her skills but with all of the staff. Everyone was welcoming and knowledgeable on different types of hair. I saw nothing but top products and professionalism. I highly suggest everyone give this salon a try.

love it!. I have been going to this salon for 10+ years now, and while I have explored other salons, I have not found one that matches this salon in terms of quality. Emile is a large salon, with many talented stylists, so it can seem a bit difficult to navigate when looking for someone that can cater to your specific needs. I am a bit of a floater, and tend to go to whoever is available when I feel inspired to change my hair. While this could be disastrous at other salons, I am generally thrilled with my hair regardless of who does it. There is just so much talent here! I have very course, curly hair, and for a while I received relaxers from Sandra. She was able to maintain the health of my hair and reduce my frizz without leaving my hair pin straight and dull. Sandra is great with all types of hair, and hilarious to boot. My mom has been going to Jade for years, and my sister prefers Steven. Of course I have had some not so great experiences throughout the years, but that is expected. If you have specific desires (ethnic hair, color specialists, updos), you can ask the nice girls at the front desk to point you in the right direction. They are all very familiar with all of the hairdressers, and should be able to recommend the ideal stylist for you. I think that the prices are normal for this area, but some might find the salon to be slightly pricey. Give it a try!

HERE I COME STEVEN. this is to nothingavailable, she wrote that this was the worst, well then why did you keep going back, its your own fault, so keep the comments to yourself. Now my experience was amazing. I have been going to Emiles on and off since 1992, never had anything negative to say about this place. I took a couple years off but im going back, real soon. All i do is talk about Steven, after leaving him my hair has never looked and felt so good, hes the best, well in my book but im sure you all are. He takes time and listens to what you want, and i walk out feeling like a million bucks. So to all of you at EMILES keep up the good work. Ive also had a massage there and let me tell ya....wow, i felt like jello. This is a very highly professional atmosphere, the crew is great, and i love the little boutique. they actually called me about something i wanted a year ago, it was out of stock and they remembered. Good job. and il be back....see ya soon Steven!

Go See Kathy for your Eyebrows. Kathy is extremely kind and she is amazing with eyebrows. She even won an award from Allure magazine! Go see Kathy, you will not be disappointed.

Rula is the best hairdresser I've ever been to. The cut costs $80 and with a tip, it's more, but it's well worth it. Rula's cuts have lasted me 2 months in one case and 3 months in another. I will never go to another hairdresser. She is an incredible talent.

Best massage ever!. I have been looking for a good massage therapist for the past 5 years since I moved to Detroit. I can't believe I waited this long to have a massage from Ann. I had several people tell me to try her, but I was trying to stay loyal to the other therapist I was seeing (even though I was not very happy with her). My friends were right. Ann gives the best massage you will ever have! She is knowledgeable, has an unbelievable energy, the best personality, and is going to give you exactly what you want in a massage!

This salon is very nice with nice people. The salon has a great atmosphere and the people that work there are wonderful. Everytime that I go in for an appointment, I feel very comfortable and enjoy my experience greatly with whomever I meet on that particular day.

WORST Salon In MICHIGAN. I have been a client for several years at this salon, and ever since my hairstylist moved to a different salon (two years ago) I have been jumping from one stylist to the next at this salon. I had no complaints about this salon when I was regularly seeing my previous stylist. My experiences at this salon has been going no where but down hill since my stylist left. I feel as if this salon does a terrible JOB in coloring DARK hair and is very POOR in scheduling appointments. I would not be writing this review if I only had one bad experience, but I have had several with four different stylists. One, I hate to say, was the owner. I will no longer give this salon any more of my time and business. I HIGHLY recommend you spend your money at a salon that values ALL of their clients.

#1 Colorist in Metro Detroit!. If you are in the market for a new colorist you absolutely have to visit Emile's Salon and ask for JORDAN. I have been going to her for 10 years now and her understanding of color & color application techniques is superior to anyone who has touched my hair prior. The results are perfect everytime and my hair still looks natural, shiny & healthy. She specializes in ONLY color which is evident as I have observed many times other stylists asking her for a color consult for their clients. I have also never been passed off to an assistant to wash or apply color (a behavior in established stylists I find VERY annoying) after all, you are paying for their time, skill & expertise. If your hair needs a boost go see JORDAN at Emile's Salon..you won't be sorry!
