Wow, awesome experience. . . . From the first minute I walked into Piera's bridal salon I was impressed. Warmly greeted by a well knowledgeable salesperson I felt at ease from the first moments. I had been to other salons in the area and was not impressed at all. After a few not so great experiences I felt a little discouraged. My salesperson told me not to worry and that I saved the best for last! She asked me a few questions and then she started pulling the most beautiful gowns. Upon trying on the first few gowns my salesperson was helping me create my dream wedding day. After the third gown I felt butterflies in my stomach, I loved what I looked like and didn't want to take it off. My salesperson told me that was a good indication of being "the one"but she suggested trying on the remainder and we could come back to that gown to confirm it, she said you'll even love it more or want to look for others. So we did and she was right after trying on 6 total, It was "the one" and I didn't want to take it off! My experience didn't stop there, my salesperson found the most perfect veil and headpiece to finish off my dream. I was soooo excited to walk down the aisle and marry my fiance since that would be the finale to my dream. Now I couldn't wait for my wedding to come, it was going to be a long 14 months until I would get to wear this beautiful bridal gown. I didn't think I would find my dream dress so easily and I am so glad I shopped when I did since it takes awhile for the gowns to come in. My salesperson told me she would call as soon as "my own" dress arrived and I could come to try it on. I am very grateful to my salesperson Flavia for taking me under her wing and helping me create my dream wedding. Her warm personality, knowledge and expertise made it such a wonderful experience and I will never forget it! I will definitely refer all of my friends and family to this bridal salon from now on.
YOU MUST PUT THIS SHOP ON YOUR LIST!! (NO LONGER LAURA'S).
I recently went a little bit out of my way to Piera's, in search of a particular dress I wanted to try on...didn't know what to expect, hadn't looked up anything or heard anything about the shop before.
OMG! Put this shop on your list girls!! The owner, who greeted me at the door warmly despite the fact I did not have an appointment (unheard of right?) took me right in to try on the dress I wanted and many others, she was happy to let me try on as many as I wanted. By the way the dresses are very reasonably prices, and personally I loved her selection, loved and wanted to try on all of them. They have good taste.
She personally helped me try each one on even though she was helping an appointment as well. (She did a good job juggling us) SHE WAS SO NICE AND HELPFUL-genuinely interested in me and my dress/wedding!!!-I cannot stress this enough as you all know most places are rude.
The other 3 reviews under Piera's are not about Piera-I can tell. The shop used to be Laura's (which apparently had bad service), they sold the shop.
PIERA IS THE NEW OWNER-SHE IS LOVELY!(and has 20 plus yrs in bridal experience)
...anyways, I bought my dress here!! I didn't plan on it that day, but she was so nice, the price was unbeatable (she will work you), and she made me an offer I couldn't refuse.
GO HERE LADIES-WELL WORTH IT!! Such a breathe of fresh air-so relieved to have found the dress with such great service that I feel comfortable with :)
awful service and questionable business practices.
I found a dress here but wanted to see what else was out there before I bought it. At the end of the day, I decided that the dress was the one & I wanted to try it on again before I bought it. I went back 15 minutes before they closed & the doors were locked. They let me in but when I said I wanted to try it on 1 more time, the lady told me that she couldnt let me do that unless I was going to buy the dress because everyone had someplace to be right after work (that should have been THE BIGGEST clue not to buy from here). I did get it. They require 75% down & did NOT inform me of a discount if I pay it in full. (Read below to see why I?m mad)
I went back a few weeks later for bridesmaid dresses & to show my sister my dress. When I got there, there was another girl who had an appt & she had the dress I ordered in the room with her. I waited for her to try it on. After she was done I asked to try the dress on for my sister to see. The saleslady said ?No. She had an appointment. You have to wait until she leaves the store.?
They care more about making the next sale than taking care of paying customers! THEY WOULDN?T LET ME TRY THE DRESS ON THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR SO THEY COULD TRY & MAKE ANOTHER SALE!
-When the other girl was getting ready to leave, the saleslady told her that if she pays for the dress up front, she gets a 10% discount!
For bridesmaid dresses: they removed the labels off the dresses! Its so you cant do find better prices elsewhere! I paid $145 for a dress I wore in a wedding this summer and Laura?s Bridal is charging $186 for the same dress.
This place is rude, not honest upfront, overcharges & has some ethically questionable business practices. I deeply regret buying my dress here & I hope I can save other girls the troubles I?ve gone thru so far.
Always a fun experience.
Lauras has really unique selection. Not the same old styles you see allover town. I am the third daughter in my family to purchase at Lauras. The service is always terrific and consistent;and I have sent lots of my friends to Lauras as well.
Same employees all three times that my family purchased gowns. They must really like what they do and it shows--very professional. Thanks Laura's for making the whole experience fun. Anna
Rude Sales People.
Poor customer service, leave you unattended in a room for long periods, don't check on you, ask questions, offer suggestions.
I asked a salesperson for help and she told me she could not be interrupted.
