With dozens of locations spread across most of the country, this faux-roadhouse chain has become a dependable spot for families in search of a casual spot for affordable steaks and down-home comfort fare. The playful menu is dotted with kid-friendly titles (chicken "critters," "road kill" chopped sirloin) and options (add caramel and marshmallow to a baked sweet potato for a dollar). In-house hand-cut steaks come in a plethora of cuts and sizes.

Texas Roadhouse. I've only visied the Taylor location, but I feel the chains are proablly all close. The food is a great value on the 2 for $13 between 3 & 6 pm. I like the relaxed atmosphere they offer.

Steak and More!. I wish we had the Texas Roadhouse in NW Michigan where I live. We had a great time. Everything was just right: friendly staff, excellent food, acceptable coffee. Very crowded. Smokers are not segregated enough so that one can smell smoke while eating. Plus, if a diner tells the server it's his birthday, there's lots of yelling and "yee-ha'ing" throughout the evening; this became tedious. The Roadhouse does carryout, however, and I might do that next time. The filet steak I ate was great.

Thumbs UP!!!!. My experience at the Texas Roadhouse was exceptional. The food was amazing. It all had so much flavor. From the rolls with cinnamon butter to the chicken critter salad, the food was great. I will definitely keep this restaurant in my TOP TEN list.
