The Real Deal!.
First went here back in 1956 when I was growing up in Port. Huron. This place isn't retro .... it just hasn't changed since the 50's.
Whenever I return to Port Huron for a visit, I stop in here for a good meal, and to relive good memories of my childhood days.

Classic Chicken in the Rough (fried chicken). This is a retro 50's place if I have ever seen one, except it is authentic. It is more a restaurant than a bar, and is very family oriented. You come here for 1 thing, Chicken in the Rough. This is a patented way of cooking chicken and it has been around a long time. It is served as a small 1/2 chicken with shoestring fries. It is a little greasy, but it's fried chicken!

Awesome stuff. Chicken in the Rough is the best food in town. If you're looking for something light - skip it! It is stick to your ribs yummy! The shoestring fries are the greasiest and the pickerel fingers...delightful!!
