Tips for Cracker Barrel Old Country Str

August 09, 2008

A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969.. In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.

Bland as all Cracker Barrels. While Cracker Barrel may be convenient to interstate travelers looking for fast food, I found the quality to be such as not to even deserve to be rated in the category of good places to eat. In fact, even most other fast food places, such as McDonald's, Burger King, Waffle House, etc. beat Cracker Barrel in quality, service, convenience and even price.

Unbuckle your britches and sit a spell. Cracker Barrel gives that home away from feeling, I was in Kentucky and we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast and all I could say when I got up from the table was "time for a nap" The food has that down home southern taste. The warm syrup, grits, pattie sausage WOW I am getting hungry as I am writing. The price was reasonable. My daughter has fell in love with the onion rings, that is the first thing she wants off the lunch and dinner menus.

down home goodness. Southern home-style meals better than your mamma made and at exceptionally reasonable prices. Wood fires, except on the hottest days, add a special scent and warmth to the ambience.

old-time breakfast. Cracker Barrel has the besst to offer in breakfast food. This place reminds me of my grandma's country breakfast. You can't beat their cheesy hashbrown casserole or country biscuits! Make sure you have a big appetite because the portions are generous!

country country. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, however, usually always busy which is a good thing. Love the little game at the table to amuse you while waiting for your food. The eggs at this restaurant always seem to taste that they just went out back and got them from the coop. I especially love the Cracker Barrel in TN - Sweetwater, always a must to stop at when traveling to Florida
