TRAVIS IS DISGUSTING & UNCLEAN. Yeah, so I go into Travis hamburgers yesterday (Feb.2) to order a 6 pack of cheeseburgers. This 80 year old woman with some kind of disgusting white substance on her hands (looks like the stuff people use for cold sores) takes my order (with attitude) and the cook begins to cook my food. Then he got a personal phone call on a cell phone and the waitress takes over cooking the burgers without washing her hands.

Then she loads the burgers down with ketchup and mustard which I did not ask for.

THEN SHE STICKS HER DISGUSTING FINGERS INTO THE KETCHUP AND MUSTARD AND REMOVES THE ONIONS AND PICKLES AND WIPES THE KETCHUP OF THE MEAT PATTY AND THE BUN WITH A PAPER TOWEL!!!!!

I swear to God this is the truth, I'm sitting at the counter and she's doing this right in front of me and telling me about it at the same time.

SHE PULLED THE PICKLE AND ONION OFF WITH HER FINGERS AND WIPED DOWN THE BURGER AND BUN WITH A PAPER TOWEL AND EXPECTED ME TO EAT IT.

I told them I didn't want it and give me my money back and this old person starts going off on me like I did something wrong.

THEN SHE PULLS HER HAND BACK LIKE SHE'S GETTING READY TO SLAP ME!!!! SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS THE TRUTH!!!!

Then she's standing there with my money in her hand and decides to lecture me about patience or whatever and I'm like "why don't you just give me my money and you won't have to worry about it"! So she gives me the bills and i don't even wait for the change, I turn to walk out and she throws the a handful of change at my back and follows me out to my car telling me she doesn't like my language.

I call the manager the next day (Feb 8) and talked to "AMY" and all she was concerned about is me dropping the "F-bomb" after this disgusting waitstaff stuck their dirty fingers in my food and tried to serve it to me, and then acted like something was wrong because I wouldn't eat it.

I'm a veteran with 4 college degrees and I know the difference between right and wrong, clean and unclean.

Fascinating rustic atmosphere. Great place for excellent food. Specials are good value. Service is prompt and special requests are not a problem. Festively decked out for the Holidays. Kids are fascinated by animals.

Terrible Service - Cold Food!. The hamburgers are not bad if you can actually get one! Service is horrible - managment is very rude! Suggest carryout - just make sure you have the right order - we ordered hamburgers and received BLT sandwhiches!

Rude, Rude, Rude. My two friends and I recently had dinner at Travis. The waitress could not have made more mistakes if she tried. My friend questioned the waitress thoroughly about the dish she wanted to order to ascertain it was "juicy" and not dry. The waitress brought the dinners before the soup. When reminded we had not had our soup...the dinners went back and the soup was brought. I ordered a tuna sandwich on untoasted bread.....the bread was stale and hard. My friend who asked for the "juicy" stir fry was served stir fry which was not at all juicy. At this point the manager came over to the table and was very very rude and insisted that my friend pay for her stir fry......even tho my friend did not want it.

This restaurant has forgotten that the customer expects good service and good food..........neither of which are available at Travis!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Burgers Inept Wait Staff. Travis has great burgers but a terrible wait staff. I recently placed an order to go when I arrived home I found it was not even my order. What a let down. Another time I ordered in. When my order arrived, my party was served old, cold fries. We complained to the waitress and she returned ten minutes later with fries which were half cooked. I'm sure she would have not ate them......

Big Meals, Good Prices!. We had breakfast here and were surprised at how large the portions were. I couldn't even finish my veggie omlette altho' it was excellent. OK coffee, I suppose. Smokers aren't segregated and 2 booths away, some lady was puffing on something like a Gauloise, it stank that much. Had to leave quicker than usual before I started sneezing. The service was good, food was quite nice, but as big as that place is, I wish they'd segregate the smokers better!

Good God, Let's Eat (at Travis'). hey if you dig burgers, why not go someplace that has stuffed critters all over the place also. It's better to look at than all that trendy flea market crap at Friday's, Chili's and any other place that you have to wait 2 hours to get a seat in.
