Great bakery and more. What can I say? The cakes are amazing, the brownies delicious, the cookies scrumptious... and as if that wasn't enough they're making tasty sandwiches now as well!

I've dropped by every so often after class (Oakland Community College being across the street) and usually they have cheap, delicious pizza -- but there have been a couple of times when there was none made.

What a great bakery!. So I'm happy every time I step into Hagelsteins. I know they are doing all their cakes by special order, but a phone call gets me a fresh birthday cake for half the price of the other bakeries in town. And the best part is that they always give me something for free before I leave. The oatmeal raisin cookies are the best. It always has been an old, comfortable neighborhood bakery

Nasty. What is the deal with this nasty place? I thought the owner said he was going to open around thanksgiving. My wife and I stopped in to buy some pastries but as we walk in the owner was behind a dirty deli case wearing a filthy hat and a dirty apron. There was nothing in the store. This place was SO dirty it made me sick! He stated that he could not find a baker, I wonder why?
