Pretty decent Chinese. Youngs offers the typical American Chinese menu. It's good but not exceptional. Their prices are reasonable and with that in mind I'd have to say it's probably the best quick, cheap Chinese take-out around Royal Oak but I've had much better tasting Chinese elsewhere.
Worst Chinese Food EVER!. I think we all have had bad Chinese food at some point in time but Young's is the only one who can make the claim of World Most Disgusting Chinese Food. I'll admit the price was not too bad but you could not pay me to eat at that place again. I ordered the General Tso's chicken which at every other Chinese place is sweet and spicy, this was sour and tangy, the weirdest taste combination I has ever had. It also was very chewy, I thought for a minute that I put a pack of Big League Chew in my mouth instead of a piece of chicken. This food did a number on my stomach starting about a half hour after I choked that meal down. I remained in my bathroom for an extended period of time and it was a very painful day that I will not soon forget.
Really a Great Place for Carry Out!. We've also been long time customers. Always good food. Would highly recommend. Sweet and sour pork is top rate. And the owners are wonderfully nice people.
I THINK ITS GREAT!. Been ordering from there for years. Not as fancy as PS Changs - but great food reasonably price. Nice people working there.
Ugh. This was probably the worst Chinese food I have ever had. It was slightly overpriced for Chinese food, but REALLY overpriced for the quality. I tried the chicken and broccoli dinner combo meal, which came with a mediocre egg roll, and "fried" (read: scorched) rice. The portion size was appropriate, but the meal itself was flavorless, while the chicken was tough and left a filmy taste in my mouth. The lo mein was even worse. It came in a huge portion, and consisted of very thin noodles and some vegetables. It had a very mushy consistency, and again, no flavor. After gagging down 2 mouthfuls, I had to throw the rest of the $20 meal away. The only things to recommend this place are portion size and how quickly the orders are ready. However, I would much rather sacrifice speed for edibility. Overall, I would strongly advise anyone who actually likes Chinese food to stay far away from Young's.
Good regular Chinese food. Youngs has been around for some time, and just moved down a couple of store to a new location. The food is good and tasty, hot and quick. The people are friendly and also quick. My only real complaint is that they don't have the usual delicious roll that usually are served with Chinese food...I miss them.
