Too busy playing Keno to care...... The last three times we've been to MS there's been a big crowd at one end of the bar-"managers",servers and a cook or two- playing keno and watching TV.The first two times the server came over directly from the bar as if a table being seated in their section was some major inconvience. In an area with more restaurants than people with money to spend, you'd think that ANY customers walking in would be treated like gold not a nuisance. The food wasn't bad but the overall disreguard for the guest and doing anything resembling service was appaulling.I could even hear the manager complaining to the bartender that he was losing money at keno-maybe he should try running his restaurant instead of playing games. In the 45 minutes we were there on this Sunday afternoon he only got up from the barstool to check his tickets-WHAT A JOKE.My wife and I cannot believe that they have the same owners as Mr.B's across the street! Maybe someone can open a real bbq restaurant in RO because calling this place a restaurant is laughable!!!!!!

STAY AWAY!!!!!!! wouldnt eat there for free!. what a JOKE this place is. it used to be an awesome hang out and they actually had good food years ago. what the hell happened?? my dinner looked and tasted like dog mess on a plate. and it wasnt even warm. its obvious they just dont care anymore. the place is dirty, and the food is plain revolting. and i had the unfortunate pleasure of having to talk to this little ass-turd manager when i had a complaint. what a creep. he was holier than thou. get OVER IT BUDDY!! your place is the town JOKE!!i wont bore you with the details, but my 10 year old son couldve kicked this short little loser over and knocked that smart @($ grin off his face. and also...nice thugs you have working the door.they scare away the little customers you have left im sure.

Save Your Money. We thought we would try it, I love BBQ. What a mistake, The food was Nasty, with the exception of the Alfrado my daughter ordered. (maybe they should consider Italian) The waitstaff acted like they did not care. The BBQ tasted like it had been sitting in water for a couple of days, the ribs were not good at all. Have had better at a coney. I would hope the owner reads the reviews written, in times like this he needs to make some changes or close the doors. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great band, excellent barbecue. I heard a band called Topaz and Mudphonic perform here. They were amazing and the food was excellent. Wouldn't recommend the cole slaw. good stage and sound system, great sound man. I'd say give it a try just for the music, but I loved the barbecue as well.

I should have went somewhere else!!!. Thought I would try something new. A place I have never been to. Lets just say I won't be going back. I ordered soup, gumbo to be exact. It looked like Sh*t and it was cold not even room temperature. So I had them take it back. The waitress suggest a potato soup. The only thing hot there was the potatoes in the soup. For dinner I ordered the Gulf Shrimp Scampi Pasta. Its already bad that your eating in the dark, so I should be able to trust that my food is right and ready to eat. NO, the damn shrimp still had the tails on it and it ddn't taste to good. What the Hell. I'm like the review before, the only thing they got going is the roll. Who owns this place, I'm pretty sure they don't even eat there. The look on the waitress face, she had me thinking that she wouldn't eat there. What do I know she could have been smilling. Anyway, I wouldn't feed my dog this.

Terrible service and food!. My boyfriend and I went there for lunch today, my water had something floating in it and when I kindly asked the waitress for another glass of water she got an attitude. My ribs were tough and burnt! My boyfriends steak which he requested it to be well done was bloody and under cooked. The second time the steak was cooked it was still bloody. The sides that we ordered were not good at all. We requested Jack Daniel's steak sauce and was given gravy and was told that was steak sauce. The best thing there was the bread and drinks. I will never go there again!!!!

Memphis Smoke House - Consistently......Inconsistent. I agree with all the reviews written on the Memphis Smoke house. Sometimes it?s good, other times (which is mostly I?m afraid) it?s really mediocre or even poor. It?s as if they have different chefs that cook differently on different days. The meat is generally average at best, tough and poorly prepared at worse. The service staff numerous and ...uninterested. The only thing going for them is that they are the only BBQ in the general area. If another BBQ place opens up and they are good.....Memphis won?t stay in business long. These people just have a great location which is saving them, but that can change.

Not Memphis Pit BBQ. I've had the good fortune to have lived next to Red Hot 'n Blue in Laurel, MD, and to have lived a within a mile of the original Jack Stack Barbecue in Kansas City. (Jack Stack is rated #1 in the US for BBQ by Zagat's). Those are true smoked BBQ joints - with their specialties and +/-s (Pulled Pork and nachos at RHB; Burnt Ends and Beans at Jack Stack). This place doesn't smoke the meat - you can tell when there is no smoke rising and no hickory smell as you approach. The music may be decent, which would make for a great BAR, but the food is NOT BBQ. The baked beans had no meat (try Jack Stack's!) and were obviously warmed in the microwavve; the pork was pedestrian. On an upbeat note, the onion ring stack was unique with strong cajun seasoning flavor and the "sour green beans" were also unique; neither was particularly tasty, but at least they did not seem like a run of the mill Applebees or Chilis offering.

Bottom line - go here for standard food - but this ain't Barbecue, it ain't Memphis style, and sure as all get out ain't smoked.

great food great service. My wife and I had a great night out when we chose Memphis smoke. We started with dinner I had ribs and she had pulled pork. I had never had smoked ribs before my wife being from the south suggested them and they were amazing. She loved her pulled pork it was a sandwich and it came with two sides a huge amount of food for a small price. The band that night was very entertaining Joclyn B and the Detroit Street players they sure brought in a big crowed. Our waitress was the greatest she was so friendly my wife was a waitress so if she says its good service then it is.

The chef is smoking something other than meat.... Memphis Smoke... well I'm not sure what they're smoking, but it's not ribs or beef brisket. The meat quality was very poor... the beef brisket was inedible... it was tough, definitely not smoked, and was cooked more like a potroast... even then it was bad!!! The ribs were babyback and mostly bones... There wasn't enough meat on the bones for me to get a real flavor. The catfish was good. All in all... I don't think I'll be going back for dinner.
