Tips for Little Tree Sushi Bar

This place has gone downhill. We used to love Little Tree, so we decided to go there for our 3rd anniversary. Right away we realized they had changed one of our favorite sushi rolls by using fewer ingredients, and a smaller portion. Of course, the price was not lower. We decided to try the entrees as well, and mine (a Phillipine seafood dish) was the worst meal I've ever had in my life. Tasteless and not authentic at all. $62 later (not counting the tip) we decided that we will not be returning to Little Tree in the future. There are plenty of delicious and authentic Pan-Asian restaurants on the East side - do not waste your money on this place!!!

Very unsatisfied. The food was decent but overpriced for what they were serving. The service was TERRIBLE. I am a server and I have never had such a bad experience. The first server that approached us rolled his eyes because we ordered water for the time being before we got a chance to look over the menu. The Server who brought us our drinks took our food order, brought out our food, when we asked for soy sauce he never came with it so we had to go get it off another table, he never came back and checked on us, and we told him we wanted dessert 20 minutes before close and brought us the menu 3 minutes before close, informing us the kitchen was about to close and they couldn't make us dessert. Then after waiting another 15 minutes he finally brought us our check. I will never go there again!

DO NOT PATRONIZE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. On 4/2/10 they tried to have me arrested over $5.16. I was unsatisfied with a dish and I refused to pay for it. Not only did the male waiter try to intimidate me, he followed me out to my car and called the police. The manager witnessed the entire incident but did nothing to intervene until the police were called. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE.

MY FAVVVVORITE!. I go to little tree at least 3 times per week. It's always really great food and I LOVE the new rolls they just added to the menu.

Also, the bartender Chris is always great for help. Paul, another bartender, is always attentive as well.

going downhill. I usually like Little Tree and I have met friends and family there for sushi many times. However, I had a terrible experience yesterday after not having been there for a couple of months. The sushi rolls were not rolled, the rice was thick and falling apart, the sauce was not in the roll but dabbed on the outside. Additionally, the sushi was tasteless and not appetizing. The worst part is that after having a conversation with the manager I am convinced that I will not be returning as sloppy and nasty sushi seems to be totally acceptable to serve to customers.

Awful food, ok sushi. I used to love this place back when it was the only game in town of RO for sushi. Went back recently and had a truly horrible experience. The food was bad and inimaginative, was served almost cold. Thai food, which is so easily obtained at other places was truly awful. There are much better places around for Asian food. We'll never go back!

Good, just not great. Little Tree has good cocktails and decent sushi, but for the price, it should be better. You usually have to wait for a table, which is fine, but the last time we were there the hostess was really young and not the best at her job, which made it a little frustrating. The servers don't always do a good job explaining the special sushi rolls and don't seem very knowledgable about the rest of the menu. I've had a hot fish dish there, which was very good, and many types of sushi. The sushi is okay but they use too much rice in the roll so the ratio of rice to filling is way off. It's pretty expensive, and I would have expected it to be better for the price. Still a pretty fun place though.
