Poor Service and Very Dirty Establishment. If you are looking for a ?dive? sort of pub I would highly recommend avoiding Ye Olde and finding one of the many other bars Ferndale/Royal Oak has to offer. There are a ton of other places in the area with comparable pricing and better service.

A group of 10 of us decided to try out Ye Olde on a Saturday night. We knew the pub had recently re-opened with new management after being closed for 4 months. We loved the old Ye Olde and went there frequently. The new management is terrible. 2 of the people in our group got sick from the burgers. We had to wait at least 20 minutes for a drink at the bar or if we were lucky enough to see a cocktail waitress we waited 30 minutes for drinks. Make sure you order multiple cocktails at a time and make sure you check your glass before drinking out of it! We found a couple glasses with lipstick marks still on them.

I?m a smoker and even for me the place was extremely smoky and has very little ventilation. It was also very dirty. Tables were left with garbage on them and we had to clean up a table ourselves. Nobody was available to wash off the cigarette ashes and butts, we even asked for a rag to do it ourselves and Brittany (bartender) never got around to giving us one after she said she would ? it was very gross having to touch someone else?s wet cigarette butt?

Brittany was a horribly slow and obnoxious bartender. She didn?t pay attention when we ordered and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. She was not only rude to us but to other patrons sitting at the bar. Sometimes our orders were forgotten entirely.
