I was TOTALLY disgusted with what I saw at this restaurant!!! While sitting in the back dining room, I witnessed all of the freshly cooked food and pizzas coming out of the of window area of the kitchen, and being placed on the counter for the wait-staff to deliver to the tables. But........on that SAME COUNTER, the busboys were putting all of the DIRTY dishes............RIGHT NEXT TO the food that was just cooked. I saw dirty dishes TOUCHING the fresh pizzas, waiting to be delivered to the tables. There was also a plastic box that the dirty silverware was being thrown into.................while being tossed OVER the freshly made food. I wonder how many people were infected with germs from peoples' dirty dishes touching the freshly made food. I will NEVER go back there again!!!!!

Best pizza and subs in metro Detroit!. I've been going here as long as I can remember. I think they have the best pizza in the area. Even though the place is small, it makes it feel like you're in some little hole in the wall in a big city. I also love that they put coleslaw on the subs. I think it's amazing.

Who likes coleslaw on your sub?. After reading the reviews of the place I tried the pizza and it wasnt really bad. greasy but decent stuff. I decided to try a sub. took it home they only had one kind. It was italian so I figured it would be good. took it home and there was a mountainious pile of sweet coleslaw on it salmi and ham and a thin slice of cheese! It was gross. I ended up taking all the coleslaw off adding marinara sauce since there wasnt any on it. put some pepperoni and a pile of italian cheese stuck it in the oven and it turned out really good. Sad to say I had to create it. Coleslaw? Tacky and it tasted weird. there were 3 people in the bar late saturday night all older men staring me down! Everytime I go in there for a pickup Im in there for 2-3 minutes and come out smelling like a ashtray. I swear they dont have smoking ventilation! yucky tiny place. I would never dine in. I order pizza there when I dont feel like going to comos for the real thing!

Best Pizza AND Subs!. This is definatly the #1 rated best pizza in town, BUT the subs are the best subs in town also!! So good covered in yummy coleslaw and ohhhhhhhhhhh so good!!

Best Pizza around. Bar none.. Yes people this is a BAR. There may be smoke. If you don't like bars don't go or get the pizza to carry out. Bottom line if you like Pizza this is where you want it from. I love pizza and I've had every pizza in the tri county area. This can't be beat.

Outstanding!!!!!!!!. Absolutley the best pizza in Metro Detroit. I live in northwest Troy and have for 22 years. We routinely drive down to Mad Heights for the pizza. Forget about the Alibi ( which I pass to get here). Once you eat GL's pizza you'll be hooked.

Absolutely, No Doubt the BEST PIZZA in METRO DETROIT. Ok, I have really had it with the $5 pizza . I am so sick of getting the same BLAH taste from all the fast pizza chains. I decided to try Green Lantern and I am HOOKED! I have never eaten in the restaurant, but I order carry-out whenever we have pizza. I love the thick hand cut pepperoni and the thin cheesy crust. You can not beat this home cooked taste. They do everything right. If you haven't tried it you are missing out. I even added them to my cell phone numbers so I can call when I am in the neighborhood. Order now and you will not be disappointed!!!!

Green Lantern offers old fashioned pizza at its best along with Specialty Pizzas, Appetizers, Salads, Sandwiches, Subs, Wines Its a nice romantic setting which holds appoximiately 75 patrons in the entire restraunt. They offer a Full Bar offering Beer, Wine, Cocktails. They serve Lunch, Dinner and open late night. They offer Dine-In and Carry out. Prices range from $10-$14 for dinner. Green Lantern accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards for payment. Green Lantern's restrooms are not handicapped accessible. Chairs are Fat Friendly. Parking is limited. Green Lantern has another location in Royal Oak, MI.

Don't order from Royal Oak location. Green Lantern in Madison Heights has excellent pizza... but their second location in Royal Oak is terrible. The pizza quality is not the same at Royal Oak. This has to do with the oven temperature... Madison Heights' oven cooks much hotter therefore delivering a more evenly cooked pizza with the perfect crust. Also the staff at Royal Oak is very inexperienced and unprofessional. I strongly recommend sticking with the original location if you except quality on a consistent basis.

BEST PIZZA EVER. I live about 45 mins from Green Lantern and try to make a trip out there at least once per month just to indulge myself with the AWESOME pizza and cheese bread. The building may be small but I would sit on top of people just to get a piece of that pie!!! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! My mouth is watery right now thinking about it!!!! If you are a complainer about space and smoke, get carry out! You wont be disappointed!!!
