The Pad Thai tasted like the stuff you make out of the box at the grocery store... We got two orders of Chicken Pad Thai, and i couldn't even finish it, the sauce wasn't like any other restaurant i've ever had (only place i've tasted it is out of those take out containers you buy at the grocery store). We also got an order of the Pad Prik, which actually tasted pretty good, although it was my first time having it anywhere so who knows how it compares to other places. There was only one lady working there, I called in ahead of time, arrived the specified 15 minutes later and she hadn't even started making our food yet. So, i had to stand there and wait while she made the food. We only ordered from here based on the reviews, this makes me think twice about eating anywhere that i don't know someone that's eaten at after our experience here.
Good Thai carryout!. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for a carryout. I ordered the pineapple curry with tofu, and within minutes the woman who had taken my order was back in the kitchen cooking it up. She seemed to be running the place solo, but was doing a good job at it. The meal turned out to be delicious, just spicey enough with a tasty coconut sauce. Yum. The atmosphere was of a local neighborhood place, a little Spartan, nothing fancy. However, like another reviewer said, this is a place that you go for the food, not the atmosphere!
It's ok. If you are in the area, it is pretty good food, but there are other places around that are better. The food is good, but everytime I go there is usually only one or two people working, so the wait can be bad. Also, be careful, you get charged full price for any drink refills. That was $9 for me and my girlfriend to drink Diet Coke.
bad..... after having mediocre experiences here before I decided to give it one more shot, doing take-out. When I got home I found that she had made me the wrong dish - chicken instead of seafood, but charged me for the seafood! By the time I realized it, it was too late to bring it back. With so many other decent thai places in the area, there is no reason to eat here! I will not be returning.
The BEST Thai food in town, period.. We have tried many different Thai restaurants in the area and nothing compares to the Royal Thai Cafe. Dishes to try include, garlic and black pepper beef and cashew chicken and you must not leave without trying their spring rolls. They do mostly a carry out business. The ambience is not what you go to this place for...you only go for the food. Trust us, you will not be sorry.
I LOVE THIS PLACE.
GREAT FOOD!! the curries are full of flavor, and the noodles they use for the Pad See Eew are to die for.
if your in the area check it out....it's worth it!
