Steakhouse featuring an executive atmosphere in the heart of the Somerset Collection.. In Short
The Capital Grille has long been a meeting place for executives, as the ambience fits perfectly into the upscale Somerset Collection, where prestigious retailers such as Tiffany & Co. and Coach reside. Elegant and classic, the Capital Grille is warm and inviting and offers something for everyone--they're known for their steaks, but also impress with blue point oysters and Atlantic lobsters. The strawberries Capital Grille is the signature dessert.

Best of the Steak Restaurants. My husband and I dines here for our anniversary and we have been craving it ever since. Blows all of the other steak places out of the water (Ruth's Chris, Shula's, Chop House etc...)

Try the Kona Crusted Steak with Carmelized Shallot Butter.....TO DIE FOR!!!

Our server was wonderful and receommended a fabulous bottle of wine.

Yes, it is a bit pricy, but for special occasions, it can't be beat!

Classic steakhouse done right. I live in Detroit and this is the best steakhouse in town (Mortons is my 2nd favorite but this is better). Start with the Stoli Doli (a fresh pineapple martini to die for). Get the calamari with hot peppers and the lobster appetizer which is split down the middle and served with a lemony mayo. The steak is flavorful but like most really good steakhouses you may consider ordering a bit more cooked if you don't like it too rare and all the classic sides are here. Great wine list although a bit pricey.

Just plain loud. I'll admit, it has been a while since I have been here. And we only went once. The night we were there it was so loud in there that we were unable to have a conversation among ourselves. The waitress described my salad options, which I couldn't hear and ended up with one with bleu cheese which I detest, so had to send it back. The steaks were nothing to brag about. And the bill was over $100 for two of us with no alcohol.

The best of the best. I live in Detroit and have been to all of the steak places. This place is not cheap, but if you want the best place to eat, this is it. Try the Stolie Dolie, a pineapple martini to die for, and the calamari with hot peppers.

yum yum yum. I have visited the Captal Grille on several occasions and have been more than impressed each time. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. The best part about the whole place though is the food. The filet being my favorite, it is full of flavor and tender throughout. The sides are delicious (and make sure you share because they are good for about 3 people!), and my favorite of all is the creme brulee. It isn't the thick custard you find elsewhere, it's crave-worthy. Of course there are plenty of other desserts and delicious foods available (the french onion soup crock is huge!) Sure to please anyone looking for a top notch evening.

Totally Grande!. Everything is on a GRANDE scale with The Capital Grille ... super sized service including guests on a first name basis and a great prompt valet service included, super sized menu of grand tasting entrees filled with absolutely delicious gourmet must-haves! A super diverse never ending wine menu and a grande dining room with high ceilngs yet a warm and cozy feel ... desserts are perfect, especially the Grande Key Lime Pie, which is more like a cheesecake with a scrumptuous Pistachio crust! Yum!

Great Service. Thanks to "Big Jon" who advised me not to, "Ever trust a waiter", we had a great time. The variety of wines were amazing. The description of the night's specials couldn't have been more precise. We were intimidated due to our lack of knowledge of the "fine dining scene" but were treated like regulars and had a fantastic evening out. We'll be back to see our friends at The Capital Grille! Thanks again!

How did this get 2 $$?. First off, I'd say the Capital Grille was a high value meal--the tab was a bit stiff but well worth it. The atmosphere was clubby and very, very comfortable. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful (e.g., "if you like this...you might want to try that...but if you prefer something a little more...then THIS would be a nice choice"). The drinks were excellent; the beef was done perfectly(we all ordered different cuts), and the sides (large enough to share) were just right--the au gratin potatoes were outstanding. I'm a little snobby about eating in malls, but one can enter from the parking lot.
