Great bridal experience. I am one of those brides that went in Maria’s Bridal store twice. First experience was several years ago with my sister and than in 2009 it was my turn to get married.

During my visit Nadica, sales assistant did everything to calm my anxiety and help me with the selection. Little by little, dress by dress until ahaaaa moment. I cried a tear, my mother’s eyes got wet…. We felt it. It was a dress!

Fitting helped me re-live that experience. Each time I enjoyed courteous service, friendly atmosphere and well placed advice.

I felt bad when I heard that Rochester store close the door. However, I also heard that Nadica opened her own bridal store in W. Bloomfield under the same name.

Bride's/Mothers BEWARE. After calling 4x to find out when my dress would be in, rudely treated by owner "Mara" on the phone, refusing to call mfg. "don't have time for this!!!". When dress finally came in after 4 months (1 month prior to need, to get shoes, jewely, alterations) when in to pick up Mara again came out, No one here to help me was her statement. Told them I would be in that afternoon, after a rude conversation she finally agreed to pull my dress to try on. When came out after trying on Julie was in and processed payment. I demanded to see when my dress had been ordered as it took 4 MONTHS, I placed order and put deposit on 4/22/09; when she pulled the paperwork they ORDERED 5/26/09. Asked why it was not placed for over a month she had no explanation. Needless to say, I took my dress and will pay for alterations elsewhere. Never, never will I return and will let others know of my experience. For a business that has been running for 35 yrs, I think it is time to close your doors.

I made a huge mistake going here. I had made an appointment and when I got there no one other customers were there. The sales person pulled some dresses for me and then left me and my bridesmaid to try them on ourselves as she helped someone who walked in. What is the point of an appointment if they won't help you. They also give you the run around and won't return your calls. I should have never of got my dress there. I would have had better service at a Davids bridal!

Had 2 Great Experiences. The first wedding dress place I went to was in Roseville (closed now) and they made me feel horrible. I sheepishly walked into Maria's one evening (without an appt.) and the lady there was SO sweet. I told her that I was just looking and she started pulling dresses right away and offered to help in any way. My husband happened to be along since the trip was not planned and I was from out of town and the other store yelled at me for having him with, while the sales person at Maria's said, "oh, you'll look so different on the day!" I am not a size 0, 2 or 4 and she did not make me feel bad like another reviewer mentioned. She worked within my budget and they have a nice selection of dresses under $2000.

I decided on a beautiful dress and it had a very delicate hidden zipper which I hadn't realized. When it came in, I tried it on at the store with the help of an associate and the zipper broke! However, they said they would fix it right away. The seamstress did a wonderful job with such a major repair.

Just went back last weekend with my sister in law that is engaged and we had another great experience. We made an appointment and together with an associate pulled so many lovely dresses and my sister in law found a gorgeous dress that fits her personality perfectly. One of the managers recognized me from 5 years ago and said it was nice to see me!

I have noticed that they are honest with their opinions, but I prefer this and I never felt ignored or belittled. I love Maria's and recommend making an appointment, just so you have a sales associate that is scheduled to help you personally.

Not horrible. I was very apprehensive about shopping for a wedding dress after reading some of the reviews, but I made an appointment anyway and it was not at all the horrible experience I had read about. The sales associate was polite, she made plenty of suggestions and stayed within my price range.

Worst Bridal Shop EVER!!!. Where do i begin? For my first appt, they measeured me wrong and ordered the size they wanted to order me instead of the size I asked for. They called the bride to tell her that the bridesmaid dresses were in when they werent. With that information, I made an appt for a fitting and when I got there, they said the dresses werent in! Then why would they ask my name, the brides name, and all the other info they need to make an appt when the dresses were not in?!? I drove 30minutes and wasted gas to get there and they did not once apologize. So I had to go back when they arrived for the first fitting. So for my next appt that was scheduled at 4pm, I came in on time and they told me that they thought my appt was at 5pm instead, so the dress that I was supposed to pick up was not even close to being finished. By the way, it was too tight like I told them it would be. They said that I must have gained weight and proceeded to measure me again to prove I did. (I was a bridesmaid the week before for another wedding and the other bridal shop measured me correctly the day before I was measured at maria's and they ordered the right size and I fit into it perfectly so I know I didnt gain weight.) The seamstress told me that they are never wrong and she incinuated that I was lying!! She never said I'm sorry!! They are soo rude and have the slowest service ever! They told me that they order the dress they want to order so its easiest for them and could care less about their customers. Oh yeah and the alterations they did on all the bridesmaids dresses were horrible. Everything fell apart before the wedding reception! Never will I go back there!

Rude, Rude, Rude!!!!. I went to Maria's the other day. I had called ahead to make an appointment. When I got to the salon they told me that they didn't have me as an appointment. The store was really quiet and I was the only one there so they took me in. But when I left they did say "next time make sure you really call".

I really liked a dress that I found but it was more than the budget I had given them. They kept trying to show me dresses that were out of my price range instead of showing me dresses I could afford. I was heartbroken when I left and just frustrated that they looked down on me because I only wanted to pay $2000 or under for my dress.

It was just a bad experience and I wouldn't recommend them.

Great service for my new wife. My wife and I were just married two weeks ago on Saturday. I just have to tell all your future brides to go and visit Marias Bridal in Rochester, MI. My bride has a spinal issue where it leaves her very insecure of her looks. Though she looks like an angel to me. From the first day walking into Marias Bridal, without an appointment, she was treated with the utmost respect. The seamstress spent hours to build the gown up for her to make her spine look normal. They didnt even charge her for this. The employees just wanted my wife to look her best. On our wedding my wife looked and felt more beautiful than she ever has. Thank you everyone at Marias Bridal for everything. All you soon to be brides hopefully you're as lucky as my wife to have such great people on your side for your special day.

Best Bridal Salon Ever!. I am writing this as a wedding consultant for some of my brides. I have been working in the bridal business for over a decade and Marias Bridal is a store that has always top-ed my list on the bridal network. Not only do they have wonderful customer service but they take time out to learn about each of their brides. They have treated each of my brides like they were family. Yes sometimes their somewhat blunt and honest attitude can turn people off, but I know that when I got married, I wish I had someone as honest and truthful selling me my wedding gown. They arent out to make a buck, they are truly passionate about the bride and want her to look her best! So do not judge a book by its cover. And with that I mean, everyone has their own opinion, do not listen to what other people to say. Make your own.
